Disney recently added new displays located at Walt Disney Presents at Hollywood Studios showcasing the concept art and models for each of these major projects. This space is located just behind Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway on the way into Toy Story Land.

Inside, you'll also find other artifacts from Disney history and a 15-minute film called “Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream” that looks at Walt Disney's life and impact. For instance, you can see the dancing man prototype figure that was one of the original Audio-Animatronics ever created by Disney on display, as seen in the photo above.

Turning to the new rides showcase. Here's what is included inside Walt Disney Presents.

There is a large model guests can view of the new Tropical Americas land, which is replacing DinoLand, USA at Animal Kingdom. In the upper left-hand corner, you can see the Casita house from Encanto, and on the upper right, the area where the Indiana Jones attraction will be. There also appears to be a walkway that leads into the land, which will likely house themed dining and shopping options.

Tropical americas

Above the model of the new land is concept art featuring the new Indiana Jones and Encanto-themed attractions coming to Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom is in an active state of construction to prepare for the Tropical Americas, with changes to quick service restaurants happening soon and an end date for the DINOSAUR attraction fast approaching.

Monsters inc land

There is also an area focused on the new Monsters, Inc. land, which is located in the former Muppets themed area of Hollywood Studios. You can see the concept art displayed, which also shows a closer look at the new “doors coaster,” which will be a key attraction in the land. Some are speculating that “Monstropolis” will be the official new name for this land. Basd on the signage, that would make sense. I would have also been ok with a simpler “Monsters Inc. Land”.

Don't worry too much, Muppets fans, Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster is getting a new Muppets theme, so there will be some Muppets presence in the parks.

Cars rides

There is also an area featuring concept art of the new Disney Cars-themed area that is replacing the Rivers of America in Frontierland. The concept art shows a closer look at the Cars featured in the ride and the layout for the new area called Piston Peak.

All these new changes coming to Walt Disney World will expand guests' experiences and incorporate more popular IPs (intellectual properties) at the parks. It's great for guests to see these models and concept art up close, especially with so many different projects in the works to keep track of.

When Disney California Adventure had the huge construction going on to build Cars Land and enhance that park, Disney put up a preview center called Blue Sky Cellar. We'd love to see them do something like this there again, though that space is now used by Disney Vacation Club, so it will have to be in a different location.
