This Magic Kingdom Restaurant Is the Perfect Escape From the Crowds With Surprisingly Healthy Food

Eating healthy can sometimes be a challenge in theme parks, where food like colossal burgers and sugary treats are top of mind for many guests. We recently tried a quick service restaurant at Walt Disney World that stands out as somewhat relaxing compared to the very busy and chaotic atmospheres of some others.

While we would normally recommend venturing beyond Magic Kingdom for a higher-quality meal, this choice stands out as a compelling reason to stay in the park. Let’s dive into our meal at a Magic Kingdom quick service restaurant that might have the healthiest food in the park. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including Disney World’s Christmas party dates and details for 2026 and a look at character dining with Mickey churro waffles.

Columbia Harbour House is a Great Choice for a Quick Service Meal at Magic Kingdom

Columbia Harbour House

Magic Kingdom is the busiest theme park on Earth, and that’s not hyperbole. More people visit Magic Kingdom than any other theme park on the planet. This means many of its restaurants are huge venues designed to feed masses of people. As a result, most of Magic Kingdom’s eateries are hectic and overstimulating, especially the quick service locations. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Tomorrowland is a prime example of this.

In contrast, Columbia Harbour House has a calmer atmosphere. It’s still a relatively large restaurant, but its layout of many smaller rooms rather than one huge cafeteria-style space, as well as lower ceilings and warm lighting, helps it seem smaller than it is.

You’ll find Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square, between The Hall of Presidents and Haunted Mansion. Just look for all the strollers parked out front.

The best seats are on the second floor, where tables next to windows look out over Liberty Square and Fantasyland. There are also typically fewer people upstairs than downstairs.

The menu mostly features seafood dishes like salmon and shrimp, but also has chicken and a plant-based option.

Salmon, green beans

We ordered the Maple-Mustard Glazed Salmon for $14.79. It comes with two sides: rice and green beans. You can also opt to double up on one of them instead, so we went with double green beans.

Other entrées at Columbia Harbour House are around the same price. There’s a lobster roll, shrimp skewer, fish platter, and chicken strips. The menu has one plant-based entrée, hearts of palm with an artichoke roll, served with chilled lettuce and tomato.

Hushpuppies

We added a side of hushpuppies to share for $5.49. Other sides on the menu are clam chowder, truffle fries, regular fries, green beans, rice, and Cuties mandarins.

Salmon, green beans, hushpuppies

Without knowing, everyone in our group ordered the same salmon dish with double green beans! This was before enjoying an evening of Disney After Hours in Magic Kingdom.

While it can still definitely get busy during peak dining hours, and not everything on the menu is necessarily good for you, Columbia Harbour House has a more laid-back vibe than other Magic Kingdom quick service restaurants with more healthier options for guests who are looking for them, and for those reasons, we enjoy eating here.
