Walt Disney World theme parks are home to several signature sweet treats, some of which become fan-favorites among guests, like the viral ice cream snack at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You can find plenty of delicious desserts at Disney’s hotels, too, and today we’re sharing some we recently tried.
This Disney World deluxe hotel‘s quick service food court serves several unique treats, including an item that many flock to a nearby table service buffet to find. You can get it here without the expensive buffet prices. See this and the other desserts that stood out to us below. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including a rule for Disney World buses and boats and our pick for the Disney World hotel with the best dining.

During our recent visit, we were after three items on The Mara’s menu to satisfy our sweet tooth. This is an excellent place to go if you’re looking for some unique dessert options, whether you’re staying at the resort or visiting as part of your resort-hopping itinerary. If you’re enjoying a food-focused resort-hopping day, this is a must-do stop, and if you’re resort-hopping with kids, this can be one part of a fun-filled day enjoying the animal viewing areas and art at this beautiful deluxe resort.
The most famous of these were the Zebra Domes. These are a fan-favorite item of Boma – Flavors of Africa, a buffet at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but you can pick up four of them to-go at The Mara!
Zebra Domes consists of chocolate mousse baked with Amarula cream liquor-coated white chocolate and drizzled with chocolate stripes and chocolate shavings. The pack of four Zebra Domes costs $4.59.
We also ordered the photogenic Mickey Cinnamon Roll, priced at $7.99. This is about what you would expect from a traditional cinnamon pastry, complete with icing, but with the rolls in the shape of Mickey Mouse’s silhouette. You can also find these at other food courts throughout Disney World.
Next up, the Caramel-Banana Cupcake. Priced at $6.29, it’s vanilla cake with caramel-banana filling, banana buttercream, and caramel-chocolate Mickey ears designed to emulate a giraffe print. The cupcake is a fun, on-theme dessert for Animal Kingdom Lodge, especially when paired with the Zebra Domes.
Here’s a look at the inside of the Caramel-Banana Cupcake:
