Don’t Overlook Geyser Point Bar & Grill

Geyser Point

Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is tucked away behind Magic Kingdom. This open-air restaurant is the kind of spot that makes you slow down, take a breath, and actually soak in the magic of being at Disney World. As a Disney World local, Geyser Point wasn’t always on my radar since it doesn’t get the same buzz as some of the more well-known dining spots on property. But I think that’s a big part of its charm.

Whether you’re staying at Wilderness Lodge or resort hopping for the afternoon, Geyser Point Bar & Grill is absolutely worth going out of your way for. Geyser Point Bar & Grill is an open-air restaurant located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, neatly tucked away behind Magic Kingdom.

Wilderness Lodge itself is a stunning hotel inspired by the grand National Park lodges of the Pacific Northwest, and Geyser Point fits that aesthetic perfectly. Its warm wood tones, rustic charm, and a laid-back atmosphere feel a world away from the hustle of the theme parks.

The restaurant sits right on the edge of Bay Lake, offering some of the most breathtaking views on Disney World property. It serves as both a quick-service and lounge-style dining experience, making it a flexible option whether you’re looking to grab a drink and relax or sit down for a proper meal. And here’s something worth knowing: you don’t have to be a Wilderness Lodge guest to dine here.

Any Disney World guest can make their way over and enjoy everything Geyser Point has to offer, which makes it one of the best-kept resort hopping secrets on property.

Amazing Atmosphere & Beautiful Views

Geyser Point View

There’s something about Geyser Point that whisks you away from the hustle of Disney World. The moment you step into the space, you feel pulled toward the water, away from the noise of Magic Kingdom. The natural wood, stone accents, and warm colors put you at ease.

Of course, the views of Bay Lake are the star of the show here.

During the day, you’ll catch boats gliding across the lake, with a gorgeous natural backdrop. But the evening is where Geyser Point truly earns its reputation. Time your visit just right, and you’ll be treated to two of the most magical experiences Disney World has to offer. The beautiful Magic Kingdom fireworks are visible right from the shore. Pair that with the Electrical Water Pageant drifting across the lake afterwards, and you’ve got an evening that truly feels magical.

That said, I want to be upfront about one thing: if you’re planning an evening visit, don’t expect it to always be quiet.

As the fireworks get closer, the crowds tend to grow. Fellow hotel guests make their way down to the restaurant, and since the resort pool sits right next to Geyser Point, the energy of the space picks up considerably. Between the guests gathering for the fireworks and the little ones splashing around nearby, evenings here can get lively and loud.

It’s still an absolutely wonderful experience, but make sure to go in with the right expectations and embrace the fun.

Our Favorite Snacks at Geyser Point

Geyser Point Menu

For a bar and grill, Geyser Point’s menu is most definitely something to write home about. It’s the kind of menu that actually makes you pause and think about what to order rather than just defaulting to something safe. That alone sets it apart from a lot of comparable dining options on Disney property.

We ended up going with three items, and I’m happy to report that every single one of them delivered.

Macaroni and “Cheese” Bites (Plant-Based)

Mac and Cheese Bites

I’ll admit, when I first spotted the Macaroni and “Cheese” Bites on the menu, I was curious but skeptical.

Plant-based cheese alternatives can be hit or miss, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But these completely won me over. The bites were crispy on the outside and perfectly gooey on the inside. And quite frankly, I couldn’t tell that the cheese was plant-based. They tasted exactly like what they’re supposed to be: indulgent, cheesy, satisfying mac and cheese bites.

Whether or not you’re plant-based, do yourself a favor and get them.

Bison Cheeseburger

Bison Cheeseburger

If the mac and cheese bites were a pleasant surprise, the Bison Cheeseburger was a full-on showstopper.

This burger comes loaded with bacon, sweet crispy onion straws, marionberry sauce, and garlic aïoli. It’s quite sizable, packs a ton of flavor, and has that messy, loaded burger quality that makes it so satisfying. The bison gives it a rich depth of flavor that elevates it beyond any standard burger, while the marionberry sauce adds just the right amount of sweetness to balance everything out.

I don’t say this lightly: this is easily one of the best burgers on all of Disney World property.

Northwest Iced Tea

Northwest Iced Tea

And then there’s the Northwest Iced Tea, which is exactly as refreshing as it sounds.

This cocktail brings together 44° North Idaho Potato Vodka, Bacardi Superior Rum, Aviation American Gin, Cointreau, and sweet-and-sour, finished with a splash of Coca-Cola. It’s essentially a Long Island Iced Tea dressed up in Pacific Northwest flair, and it is incredibly refreshing and quite easy to drink.

Sipping one of these while watching the sun go down over Bay Lake might be one of the most relaxing things you can do at Walt Disney World.

Is Geyser Point Worth It?

Geyser Point

Geyser Point Bar & Grill is one of those rare dining experiences at Walt Disney World that delivers on every front. The atmosphere, the views, the food, and the overall feeling are hard to replicate anywhere else on Disney World property. It has really good food, a stunning natural setting, and that subtle Disney magic surrounding you.

It’s also an incredibly versatile dining option. Whether you’re visiting as a couple looking for a relaxed waterfront evening, a family wanting to catch the fireworks, or a solo Disney traveler in search of a great drink and even better views, Geyser Point has something for you.

This is also exactly the kind of experience that makes resort hopping so worthwhile.

As for value, Geyser Point feels fair for what it offers. You’re getting quality ingredients, generous portions, and one of the best views on Walt Disney World property. When you factor in the option of watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant from your dinner table, the overall experience is hard to beat.

Geyser Point is a Disney World hidden gem that absolutely deserves to be found.
