5 Disney World Resort Hopping Food Crawl Itineraries in Each Resort Area

Have you ever thought about doing a Disney World resort food crawl? Believe it or not, some of the best meals, snacks, and drinks on all of Disney World property aren’t inside the theme parks. Instead, they’re hiding in plain sight at the resorts. And if you’ve never dedicated a full day to a Disney World resort hopping food crawl, you are seriously missing out.

The idea is simple: instead of spending your day in the parks, you spend it hopping from resort to resort, sampling the best food and drinks each hotel has to offer. It’s one of the most relaxed, delicious, and surprisingly magical ways to experience Disney World. As an Orlando local who visits the property regularly, it’s something I genuinely look forward to every single time I visit.

The best part is that you don’t need a theme park ticket to do it. Disney World resort hopping is open to everyone, and with over twenty-five hotels on property, there is no shortage of incredible dining experiences to discover. To make it easy for you, I’ve broken this food crawl down into five separate itineraries, one for each resort area, so you can pick the one that fits your trip best. Let’s dive into the five different resort hopping food crawl itineraries you should try.

Monorail Resorts Food Crawl

Monorail

  • Resorts to Visit: Polynesian Village Resort, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort
  • Where to Start: Transportation and Ticket Center or Disney Springs

Disney World Ride Closure ALERTS, Major Park Changes, Secrets Revealed

Get alerts on closures, park changes, exclusive discounts, and free printables. Trusted by 100,000+ Disney fans & planners.

If you’re going to do one Disney World resort hopping food crawl, make it this one. The Monorail resorts are three of the most iconic hotels on Disney World property and make up one of the most convenient and rewarding food crawls you can do. The Disney World Monorail connects all three resorts seamlessly, so getting around couldn’t be easier.

If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel or are a Disney World annual passholder, start at the Transportation and Ticket Center for direct access to the Monorail. Otherwise, park at Disney Springs (since it’s free) and take the bus to the Polynesian Village Resort to kick things off.

Polynesian Village Resort

Kona Cafe

  • Have a table service breakfast at Kona Cafe
  • Explore the Great Ceremonial House and walk along the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon
  • Grab a mid-morning snack at Pineapple Lanai

Start your Monorail resort food crawl at the underrated Kona Cafe, known for its Pacific Rim-inspired menu. Don’t leave without trying the Tonga Toast, a deep-fried sourdough French toast stuffed with bananas and rolled in cinnamon sugar, or the Macadamia Nut Pancakes, which are every bit as indulgent as they sound.

Then, after breakfast, spend some time exploring the resort area before making your way to Pineapple Lanai for a Disney World snack icon: the DOLE Whip. My favorite flavor of DOLE Whip? The pineapple vanilla swirl.

Contemporary Resort

Stack Burger

  • Have lunch at Steakhouse 71
  • Explore the Grand Concourse and the iconic Mary Blair mural
  • Grab an afternoon snack at Contempo Cafe

For lunch, make your way to Steakhouse 71, a fan-favorite. While the name says steakhouse, the lunch menu is far more approachable than you might expect. I personally love the Stack Burger that comes with a beef-pork belly blend patty, American cheese, lemon aioli, red onion, and pickles on a brioche bun, along with the French onion soup.

Take a stroll around the Grand Concourse before popping into Contempo Cafe for your afternoon snack. While the flatbreads and sandwiches make for great meals (or shareable snacks), Contempo Cafe also offers a variety of cupcakes and other desserts to please your palate.

Grand Floridian Resort

Narcoossee’s

  • Have dinner at Narcoossee’s
  • Take a short post-dinner stroll to the Polynesian Village Resort
  • End the night with a late-night drink at Wailulu Bar & Grill

There is no more fitting way to end a Monorail resort food crawl than with dinner at Narcoossee’s. Situated right on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon, you’ll be sure to enjoy the Lobster Bisque, Korean BBQ Glazed Salmon, or even the Roasted Vegetable Paella. Make sure to take time to step out onto the boardwalk to take in the breathtaking views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom.

Then, after dinner, take a short and scenic stroll along the waterfront pathway back to the Polynesian Village Resort, where it all started. At Wailulu Bar & Grill, you can enjoy a variety of Polynesian-inspired cocktails and unique foods while relaxing by the water. Time your visit just right, and you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks and Electric Water Pageant while relaxing! See our review of this location and why we like it so much

EPCOT Resorts Food Crawl

Spaceship Earth

  • Resorts to Visit: Yacht Club Resort, BoardWalk Inn
  • Where to Start: Hollywood Studios or Disney Springs

Unlike the Monorail resorts, the EPCOT resorts are all within walking distance of each other. This means more time eating and less time commuting. The Yacht Club Resort and the BoardWalk Inn sit along the shores of Crescent Lake and together offer some of the most impressive dining on all of Disney World property.

If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel or are a Disney World annual passholder, start at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for direct access to the Disney World Skyliner or the FriendShip boats. Otherwise, park at Disney Springs (since it’s free) and take the bus to the Yacht Club Resort to get things started.

Yacht Club Resort

Ale & Compass

  • Have breakfast at Ale & Compass
  • Explore the Yacht and Beach Club
  • Walk the scenic path along Crescent Lake to the BoardWalk Inn

Kick off your EPCOT resorts food crawl at the Yacht Club Resort with breakfast at Ale & Compass, a very underrated restaurant. The menu here leans into classic New England comfort food, such as the Crab Cake Benedict and the Smoked Salmon Flatbread. The cozy nautical interior makes it feel like the perfect place to ease into a full day of eating.

BoardWalk Inn

Flying Fish

  • Grab a mid-morning snack at Carousel Coffee
  • Have lunch at The Cake Bake Shop
  • Grab an afternoon snack at BoardWalk Deli
  • Have dinner at Flying Fish
  • End the night with a corn dog from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs
  • Enjoy the live entertainment along the BoardWalk

From there, take a morning stroll over to the BoardWalk Inn and make a quick stop at Carousel Coffee for your mid-morning pick-me-up and a pastry. Grab your coffee to go and take a moment to soak in the quiet morning along the shores of Crescent Lake and wave to the Friendship Boats passing by.

When you’re ready for lunch, it’ll be time to be amazed by the dishes and environment of the Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers.

The Cake Bake Shop quickly became popular after it opened and still to this day has almost no reservations available. What puts The Cake Bake Shop over the top is its seasonal decorations that whisk you away from the world of Disney to a completely different atmosphere. And the food? Extraordinary. The New Orleans Shrimp Po’boy features a dozen fried shrimp. The 12 Layer Club Sandwich is also a standout. And if you’re up for it, share one of their magnificent slices of cakes.

After lunch, make sure to walk it off before coming back to the BoardWalk Deli.

This quick-service deli on the BoardWalk promenade serves up hearty sandwiches and fresh-baked goods that are perfect for a casual afternoon snack. The Warm Corned Beef Reuben is loaded and satisfying, and the pastries are dangerously good. Grab something to eat and find a spot along the BoardWalk to people-watch and soak in the views of the Yacht and Beach Club across the water.

flying fish disneys boardwalk resort food

As the sun goes down, make your way to Flying Fish for dinner, one of the more popular signature dining restaurants on Disney World property.

Flying Fish is known for its creative seafood dishes and open kitchen, making the dining experience feel as entertaining as it is delicious. The Plancha-Seared Scallops are cooked perfectly. And if you want more variety, the Seafood “Frutti di Mare” gives you shrimp, lobster, clams, and mussels. It’s the kind of dinner that makes you want to savor last bite.

To cap off your EPCOT resorts food crawl, grab a giant corn dog from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs while watching the BoardWalk’s nightly entertainment before the EPCOT fireworks start. Then, you can watch the fireworks from just about anywhere along the BoardWalk!

Skyliner Resorts Food Crawl

Skyliner

  • Resorts to Visit: Riviera Resort, Art of Animation Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century Resort
  • Where to Start: Hollywood Studios or Disney Springs

The Walt Disney World Skyliner connects four distinct resorts, each with its own personality and dining scene. This makes this one of the most exciting Disney World resort hopping food crawls on this list.

If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel or are a Disney World annual passholder, start at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for direct access to the Skyliner. Otherwise, park at Disney Springs (since it’s free) and take the bus to the Riviera Resort to begin your day.

Riviera Resort

Topolino’s Terrace

  • Have a character dining breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace
  • Grab a mid-morning snack at Primo Piatto
  • Take the Skyliner to Art of Animation Resort

There’s no better way to start this food crawl than with breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace. The combination of the delicious food and the chance to meet your favorite characters dressed in their finest artist attire makes Topolino’s Terrace a top character dining experience. The Sour Cream Waffle is a standout with its chantilly, roasted apples, and orange-maple syrup.

Before heading to the Skyliner, make a quick stop at Primo Piatto. This is a great spot to grab a mid-morning coffee and a light bite to keep you fueled for the rest of the day. The cookies are unlike any other cookie on Disney property, but if you’re looking for something savory, the Croque Madame is a big hit here. See why this quality quick-service spot is one of our favorites on property

Once you’ve had your fill, make your way to the Skyliner for a scenic ride over to Art of Animation Resort.

Art of Animation Resort

Art of Animation

  • Have lunch at Landscape of Flavors
  • Explore the resort’s larger-than-life theming
  • Take the Skyliner back toward the Riviera Resort

Landscape of Flavors is one of the most impressive quick-service food courts on all of Disney World property. The menu has a wide range of food, which means there is truly something for everyone. Make sure to try the Butter Chicken or Chicken Adobo Nachos and stay to explore the whimsical Disney and Pixar theming inside the food court and lobby.

After lunch, take more time to explore the theming around the resort before making your way back to the Skyliner.

Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort

Sebastian’s Bistro

  • Grab an afternoon snack at Le Petit Cafe
  • Have dinner at Sebastian’s Bistro
  • Take the Skyliner to Pop Century Resort

When you return to the Riviera Resort, stop into Le Petit Cafe, an elegant little coffee bar in the Riviera Resort lobby. Fuel up with one of their specialty coffees and grab a delicious French-inspired pastry. Be careful, though, because it’s nearly impossible to walk away with just one thing.

Then comes dinner at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Sebastian’s Bistro serves up vibrant and lively Caribbean and Latin flavors, and is all-you-care-to-enjoy. The fluffy house-baked pull-apart rolls come with a delicious guava butter. And Island Feast features four different types of meats that you’ll be sure to enjoy. The restaurant’s laid-back atmosphere and colorful décor make it the kind of place where you don’t want the meal to end. But when it does, the Skyliner is waiting to take you to your final stop of the night.

Pop Century Resort

Everything POP

  • End the night with a late-night snack at Everything POP

Cap off your Skyliner resorts food crawl with a late-night stop at Everything POP, the quick-service food court at Pop Century Resort. The S’more Cookie is hard to resist, but a favorite is the POP Goes Bananas Cupcake filled with caramelized banana and caramel-latte buttercream. With an endless amount of desserts, you’ll be sure to enjoy the evening. Grab your dessert, find a spot to sit among the resort’s colorful pop culture theming, and toast to a delicious day at the Skyliner resorts.

Animal Kingdom Resorts Food Crawl

Animal Kingdom

  • Resorts to Visit: Animal Kingdom Lodge, Coronado Springs Resort
  • Where to Start: Animal Kingdom or Disney Springs

The Animal Kingdom resorts food crawl is a step above the rest.

The dining experiences along this food crawl are among the most unique and culturally rich on all of Disney World property. This itinerary requires a little more effort to get between resorts than the Monorail or EPCOT crawls, but trust me when I say the food more than makes up for it.

If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel or are a Disney World annual passholder, start at Animal Kingdom theme park for the most direct bus access to these resorts. Otherwise, park at Disney Springs (since it’s free) and take the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge to get your day started.

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Sanaa

  • Have a buffet breakfast at Boma
  • Grab a mid-morning snack at The Mara
  • Have lunch at Sanaa
  • Take the bus to Coronado Springs Resort

It’s hard to beat a breakfast at Boma — Flavors of Africa. Boma’s breakfast buffet is an extraordinary spread of both familiar favorites and boldly spiced African-inspired dishes. A few of my favorites are the Chakalaka, a delicious South African spicy tomato stew, and the Oak-Grilled vegetables. But the carving station features a Turkey Bobotie and carved ham with its famous Boma mustard sauce. Go hungry, because you’re going to want to try a little bit of everything.

After breakfast, head downstairs to The Mara for your mid-morning snack. There’s really only one thing you need to order here: the Zebra Domes. These bite-sized chocolate mousse treats are light, creamy, impossibly decadent, and make my mouth water just thinking about them. Grab a few, find a spot near one of the resort’s savanna viewing areas, and enjoy them with a view of the grazing animals.

Before you leave the lodge, take the shuttle over to Kidani Village to have lunch at Sanaa. Sanaa is one of the most underrated dining experiences on Disney World property. The bread service is still talked about to this day by Disney World guests, with its selection of naan and array of dipping sauces. Then, make sure to order the Potjie-Inspired with the Butter Chicken and Rajma Masala for a wonderful landscape of flavors while looking out the window along the savanna.

After lunch, make your way to the bus stop for the ride over to Coronado Springs Resort.

Coronado Springs Resort

Three Bridges

  • Grab an afternoon coffee and snack at Barcelona Lounge
  • Have dinner at Toledo
  • End the night at Three Bridges Bar & Grill

When you arrive at Coronado Springs Resort, head over to Barcelona Lounge in the Gran Destino Tower for a pick-me-up. The Spanish Charcuteria gives you a great spread of Spanish-inspired food. But the real standout here is the Spanish specialty coffee. My personal favorite is the Cafe Bombon, a cup of espresso and sweetened condensed milk. Make sure to stroll around the resort and explore its Spanish, Mexican, and Southwestern American theming before heading back to the Gran Destino Tower for dinner.

Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood is the crown jewel of Coronado Springs Resort’s dining scene. Perched at the top of the Gran Destino Tower and known for its Spanish-inspired food with an open kitchen, Toledo still flies under the radar of many Disney guests. The Gambas al Ajillo, which feature shrimp, garlic-infused olive oil, and herbed butter over toasted bread, are great to start. And the Marinated Grilled Lamb Loin is an entree I order over and over again. White eating, enjoy the sun setting over the resort.

Finally, make your way to the middle of Lago Dorado to Three Bridges Bar & Grill, a stunning outdoor bar and restaurant. Dining here is always a treat, with its open-air concept while sitting in the middle of the water. Grab a signature sangria, share the White Queso and Chorizo Dip, and soak in the beautiful Gran Destino Tower across the lake to cap off your Animal Kingdom Resorts food crawl.

Disney Springs Resorts Food Crawl

Disney Springs

  • Resorts to Visit: Old Key West Resort, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, Saratoga Springs Resort
  • Where to Start: Disney Springs

The Disney Springs resorts food crawl is one of the most charming and laid-back itineraries on this list.

The resorts in this area each carry their own distinct personality, and together they offer a dining experience that feels refreshingly different from anywhere else on Disney World property. Getting between resorts here requires a little more planning, but the Sassagoula River Cruise Ferry Boat makes the journey half the fun.

Whether or not you’re staying at a Disney World resort or are an annual passholder, start at Disney Springs and take the Sassagoula River Cruise Ferry Boat to Old Key West Resort to kick things off. To transfer between hotels throughout the day, you’ll either walk the scenic pathway connecting Saratoga Springs and Old Key West or take the ferry boat back to Disney Springs before transferring to a different boat to your next resort.

Old Key West Resort

Olivia’s Cafe

  • Have a table service breakfast at Olivia’s Cafe
  • Grab a mid-morning drink at The Gurgling Suitcase
  • Walk the pathway over to Saratoga Springs Resort or take the ferry back to Disney Springs

Start your Disney Springs resorts food crawl with breakfast at Olivia’s Cafe, Old Key West Resort’s beloved table service restaurant. The laid-back, Keys-inspired atmosphere is the perfect setting for a leisurely morning meal, and the menu delivers on every front. The Banana Bread French Toast comes with a Bahamian Banana-Rum Syrup and is one of the most satisfying breakfast dishes on property. But for something more hearty, the Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken will do the trick.

After breakfast, make your way over to The Gurgling Suitcase, a charming little cocktail bar tucked away next door. Don’t let the mid-morning hour stop you. This lounge serves a modest selection of non-alcoholic specialty drinks alongside its specialty cocktail menu, with the Agave Garden being a standout. The food here is worth a try too, with the Conch Fritters and Savory Hushpuppies being great choices. This fun, relaxed stop perfectly captures the Old Key West vibe before you make your way to the next resort.

Port Orleans Resort – Riverside

Riverside Mill Food Court

  • Have lunch at Riverside Mill Food Court
  • Explore the resort grounds along the Sassagoula River
  • Walk or take the ferry over to Port Orleans – French Quarter

For lunch, make your way to Riverside Mill Food Court at Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, a fun Southern Louisiana-themed food court housed inside a stunning converted mill building. While the Smothered Beef in Gravy is a great meal option, you’re really here for the Jambalaya or the Gumbo. If anything else makes my mouth water just thinking about them, these meals are it. After lunch, take some time to stroll along the gorgeous resort grounds before making your way next door to Port Orleans – French Quarter.

Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter

Mickey Beignets

  • Grab a beignet at Scat Cat’s Club Cafe
  • Enjoy the jazz-inspired atmosphere of the French Quarter
  • Take the ferry back to Disney Springs, then over to Saratoga Springs Resort

Scat Cat’s Club Cafe is a charming, jazz-themed quick-service lounge at Port Orleans – French Quarter. However, you’re here for one thing and one thing only.

The Mickey-shaped beignets are the undisputed star of this menu. Get them with a dipping sauce, as a Beignet Sundae, or have them jazzed up with Baileys Irish Cream! You won’t go wrong. Pair them with a Joffrey’s coffee, and you have one of the best afternoon snack combinations on all of Disney World property. Soak up the jazzy atmosphere before hopping on the ferry back to Disney Springs and onward to Saratoga Springs Resort.

Saratoga Springs Resort

Turf Club

  • Have dinner at Turf Club Bar & Grill
  • End the night at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Dinner at Turf Club Bar & Grill is the kind of meal that reminds you just how good Disney World resort dining can be when it flies under the radar. This cozy, horse racing-themed table service restaurant offers American-style meals, with the Slow-Roasted Prime Rib and Char-Grill New York Strip Steak being the standouts. I’m also a fan of brussels sprouts, and their Sweet-and-Spicy Brussels sprouts are a wonderful appetizer.

Best Disney Springs Restaurants

To end your Disney Springs resorts food crawl on a high note, I couldn’t leave out a Disney Springs favorite.

Make your way over to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar for a late-night drink and snack. Inspired by Indiana Jones’ pilot Jock Lindsey, this adventure-themed bar is packed with incredible details that make every visit feel like an adventure. The Fountain of Youth is one of the lounge’s most popular cocktails, and the Mine Car Meatballs go great with whatever beverage you choose to enjoy. Jock Lindsey’s is a fun, story-rich, and very Disney way to close out one of the most charming resort hopping food crawls on property.

Whether you tackle one of these itineraries or all five, a Disney World resort hopping food crawl is guaranteed to give you a whole new appreciation for what Disney World has to offer. So on your next Disney World trip, skip the park for a day — your taste buds will thank you.
