Most Disney adults walking through Disney World’s Coronado Springs are headed to the pool, the lobby bar, or a dinner reservation at Toledo. But almost none of them know that tucked inside this popular resort hotel, there’s a 90-minute experience that’s become one of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World. And trust me, I don’t say that lightly after years of looking for every hidden gem this property has to offer.

What is Sangria University?
Sangria University is a ticketed, guided tasting experience offered exclusively at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Sangria University is exactly what it sounds like: an expert-led sangria tasting and making class hosted by Disney Cast Members at Coronado Springs Resort. It’s adults-only, intimate and fun, delicious, and somehow it still flies completely under the radar. As a Disney World local, I attended once since it moved to its current home inside Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood in December 2025, and I’m already booked for a second visit next month.
The class is led by knowledgeable Cast Members who walk you through the history of sangria, break down what goes into each variety, and let you build your own custom blend by the end of the session. It runs approximately 90 minutes, is open to guests 21 and older, and is priced at $69 per person, including tax and gratuity. Reservations can be made through the Walt Disney World dining reservation system, and booking in advance is strongly recommended since spots fill up quickly.

What makes Sangria University worth knowing about is that it recently got a serious upgrade.
As of December 13, 2025, the class moved from its original home at Three Bridges Bar & Grill to Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood, the stunning rooftop restaurant at the top of Gran Destino Tower. Two class sessions are now offered, giving guests a bit more flexibility when planning their visit. If you’ve been before and haven’t been back since the move, it’s certainly worth revisiting.
The new setting elevates the entire experience – more on that below.
The Setting: Toledo in the Daytime Is a Hidden Luxury
If you’ve ever had dinner at Toledo, you already know how special that space feels. The rooftop views, the warm Spanish-inspired décor, and the atmosphere that feels upscale yet never out of place. Now imagine having all of that to yourself in the middle of the afternoon, when the restaurant isn’t open to the public yet.
That’s exactly what Sangria University gives you, and it’s one of the most underrated perks of the entire experience.
While visiting, I was struck by how different Toledo feels during the day. The natural light coming through the windows shifts the entire mood to a more bright, airy, and relaxed feel while still carrying its elevated atmosphere. No matter where you’re seated, the views are stunning. Getting to sit inside one of Coronado Springs’ most impressive spaces during hours when nobody else can access it feels like a hidden gem, and that alone is worth factoring into the overall value of this experience.
If you’re staying at Coronado Springs, this is a perfect excuse to get more out of your resort. And if you’re not staying there, it’s absolutely worth the trip over.
The Sangria University Class Experience
From the moment you sit down, it’s clear that a lot of thought went into how this experience is structured.
Each guest has a placemat waiting at their seat with a brief description of every sangria being featured, a small signal that says that this is more than just a casual tasting. As the Cast Member walks through each drink, they explain exactly what went into it, the flavor profile to look for, and what makes each variety distinct. You’re encouraged to take notes right on the placemat, which I found very useful. But if you’re not one to take notes, don’t worry, because you receive sangria recipe cards at the end of your experience.
What impressed me most during my visit was how engaged the Cast Members were.
Even with a full class of sixty guests, the experience never felt like a lecture. The Cast Member had a way of making you feel like they were talking directly to you, cracking jokes and riffing on reactions in the room, while still teaching you something. It felt much more natural, which is difficult to pull off for a class like this.
And the best part? Before the class even officially begins, they set the mood with a playlist of Disney movie music and throwback Disney Channel-era songs that immediately put the whole room in a good mood. It’s a small touch, but it’s exactly the kind of detail that makes this feel like a true Disney experience.
Oh, and the food that accompanies the tastings deserves its own mention.
The bites served with the sangrias are well thought out and pair well with each drink. It isn’t an afterthought side of chips and guac. It’s satisfying enough that you’ll leave feeling like you got a full experience, not just a drink flight with a snack on the side.
Making Your Own Sangria — The Best Part
Everything up to this point is already worth the price of admission, but the finale is what separates Sangria University from any other experience at Disney World.
Once the guided portion wraps up, you get to make your own sangria from scratch. You’re not just choosing from a preset menu. You’re discussing with the Cast Member what you liked, what you didn’t, what flavors you want to lean into, and what they’d personally recommend based on your preferences.
The make-your-own portion ended up being the highlight of my experience. There’s something about having a Cast Member guide you through building your own drink that makes it feel like a real accomplishment. You leave with not just a great glass of sangria but also a good understanding of how to recreate something similar at home, which, by the way, is a rare takeaway for many experiences.
If you enjoy interactive Disney experiences, you’ll love knowing that Sangria University isn’t the only one of its kind. Check out our guide for more hidden gems worth adding to your trip.
Is Sangria University Worth It?
The short answer is yes, and the fact that I’ve already booked my next visit should tell you everything you need to know. But let me give you the slightly longer answer, because I think it’s worth understanding why this experience hits differently than other Disney add-ons at a similar price point.
At $69 per person, Sangria University is one of the best value experiences Disney World has to offer for adults. You’re getting 90 minutes of guided education, multiple sangria tastings, satisfying food pairings, a make-your-own finale, and exclusive daytime access to one of the most beautiful restaurant spaces at Disney World. When you add that up, $69 feels like a very reasonable ask.
This experience is ideal for Disney-obsessed adults who feel like they’ve done everything and want something fresh to add to their trip. It’s also perfect for couples looking for a relaxed and memorable afternoon, groups of friends who want something more interactive, and resort guests who want to get more out of their Coronado Springs stay.
