When Will Disneyland Magic Key Annual Passes Be Available For Sale? 2025 Update

Disneyland Magic Keys are annual passes available to guests who want to visit Disneyland frequently throughout the year. Disneyland Magic Key Annual Passes went on sale a couple of times earlier this year before being paused, but now Disney has announced when they will go on sale again—more details on this below!

There is a specific low-cost pass option for locals and are three other types for anyone else, out-of-state or California resident, who is interested in purchasing a Disneyland annual pass. Disneyland Magic Keys come with dining, shopping, and other discounts along with special perks just for annual passholders.

Disney limits the amount of Magic Key Annual Passes that are sold to limit traffic to the parks. This was part of an overhaul of the previous Disneyland Annual Pass system. Disney now limits when Magic Key passes go on sale.

When Will Disneyland Magic Key Annual Passes Go On Sale?

Magic Key passes will be going on sale again starting Jan. 22, 2025, no earlier than 9 am PT. All four pass types will be available while supplies last. The online queue opens no earlier than 8:45AM PT with sales beginning no earlier than 9AM PT. 

Thankfully, the Magic Key prices remain the same after their 2024 increase in fall which coordinated with the larger Disneyland price increase.

Current Magic Key holders will have the opportunity to renew their passes during their renewal window, but Disney shared that the quantity of passes and pass types available for renewal may be limited. 

The limitation on Magic Key sales and increased blockout dates have been noticeable in the impact on the crowds at Disneyland. With Saturdays often being blocked out for most Magic Key holders this has made this day of the week generally a lower crowd day than some weekdays which is surprising for guests to find out! When Were Magic Keys Last Sold?

Magic Key Passes were last sold November 6, 2024. You can see everything you need to know about the buying process in our full Disneyland Magic Key guide. The prior sales also introduced an option to be notified by email when it's your turn to purchase passes—see more details on this in our announcement of this change Disneyland is testing to improve virtual ticket queues. 

Before the November sale, Disneyland Magic Keys were last on sale March 5, 2024 to June 5, 2024.

We've seen Magic Key availability last much longer these last few sale dates which indicates that more Magic Keys have been made available by Disney. Still, there is a lot of demand for Annual Passes and this scarcity mindset Disney has created with the limitations on Magic Key sales has encouraged fans to jump at the chance to buy a pass since they are no longer available year-round. 

Once the active sales are complete, the only passes available are for those renewing and those with children who recently turned 3 years old and now need a pass. If you have a child turning 3 years old and are a Magic Keyholder you can go to one of the ticket booths at Disneyland to purchase a pass for your child. Magic Key passes have been available for sale on and off over the last few years since Disney relaunched the Annual Pass program. In January 2024, the sales window was hectic with a virtual queue at times exceeding eight hours and Disney quickly paused sales after just a few days. Sales resumed again in January 2023 and April 2023 before being available again in January 2024. 

Disneyland Magic Key Increase

Disneyland last increased ticket prices on October 9th, 2024 which was a year later than the last price increase. Other prices were raised across the board like the cost increase of Disneyland Lightning Lane Multi Pass to $32 per person, per day. Magic Keys were also included in this price increase even though sales for the current program are paused. The lowest-tier Imagine Key had a particularly larger than usual increase of $100. See the prices below.

When Magic Key sales resume, they will reflect the prices listed above. This price increase also affected renewals.
