Ranking Disney World Spring 2024 Offers- NEW Discount Released Early!
Walt Disney World just released another Spring Disney World discount offer for Disney Resort hotel stays in 2024. These aggressive discounts are being released earlier than normal and include popular Spring Break dates that will appeal to many guests. So far we already have four discount offers released for 2024 with much of the speculation revolving around if free dining will return in Fall 2024.
Let's talk about all these new discounts offered, some offer more savings the earlier you book, and consider what this might mean for the potential of free dining returning next year.

Save Up to 30% on Disney Resorts- Spring 2024
This Spring Disney World discount provides an incentive for guests to book early for their Spring 2024 travel dates. If you book your stay before December 15th, 2023 you have the potential to save up to 30% on your hotel. After that date, the savings are still there but drop down to about 10-25% depending on the hotel category you select. Let's focus primarily on the savings offered if you book by December 15th which are far more impressive than the ones past this cutoff date.
- Save up to 25% for stays most Sunday to Thursday nights from January 9, 2024, through February 22, 2024
- Save up to 30% for stays from February 25, 2024, through March 24, 2024.
As always, you save the highest percentage on your travel to Walt Disney World by selecting the most expensive category (Deluxe) and savings begin to drop as you move down the list to the most affordable category (Value) but these are still impressive savings. As always, it's disappointing to see the Little Mermaid standard rooms low on the Spring Disney World discount list but it is positive to see them included in the discount offer as sometimes they are excluded entirely. And we do see the Family Suites at Art of Animation making the value hotel discount category which can offer great savings for large families. You would be hard-pressed to beat the savings offered by the value resorts with this offer for Spring 2024 travel. In fact, you can even find some nights at the value resorts for $100 per night which is a steal when you factor in all the on-site Walt Disney World perks of transportation to the theme parks, Early Theme Park Entry, and more. This easily edges out the competition from any off-site hotels near Walt Disney World and keeps guests staying on-site, which is of course part of the goal here!
This offer isn't too off base from the Spring Disney World offers we've seen in the past few years but this offer is being released far earlier than normal (in the past most Spring offers come out in late October) which gives some indication that Disney is motivated to get these hotel rooms booked. Some might speculate this is due to travel wearing down, especially in the face of inflation and a potential recession on the horizon, a Walt Disney World trip is just a luxury that a lot of families cannot afford right now.
Despite that, I do not think this means we will see a slow Spring Break season. Quite the contrary, now with this Spring Disney World discount released (with the most aggressive discounts for March!) I think we can expect a healthy flow of crowd levels like we can usually expect for Spring Break at Walt Disney World. If you are planning on a Walt Disney World Spring Break trip, this is the best time to secure that discount for March travel. Remember, these discounts are always on a ‘first come, first serve basis' and only a certain amount of rooms are allocated to these offers. You will want to book as soon as possible to secure your room as these are great discounts for one of the most popular times to visit Walt Disney World. You only need to put down a $200 deposit to lock in your dates and secure one of these offers so if you are planning on a Spring Break trip, I would not wait to get your room booked!
And of course, if you are an Annual Passholder or Disney Visa Cardmember, you can find even stronger savings for up to 35% off for similar dates. This is why it's always best to compare the different Walt Disney World discounts to ensure you are booking the best one! We've included these two offers in this article (scroll to the end to read) but first let's address the elephant in the room- what does this mean for the potential of free dining returning in 2024?
Will 2024 Free Dining Return to Walt Disney World?
Prior to the pandemic, it was common for Walt Disney World to release aggressive Fall discounts which often included the popular Free Dining offer. Guests who booked on-site would be able to receive the Disney Dining Plan for free with their stay. Keep in mind, this offer was not combined with any other percentage off discounts at the time and like most offers, needed to be compared to those to see which came out on top.
But there's no denying the popularity of this offer which is still asked about frequently. The Walt Disney World Dining Plan returns on January 9th, 2024 so it is possible we will also see the return of this popular free dining discount in Fall 2024.
However, Walt Disney World recently announced the first discount on the Dining Plan when it returns and it's targeted for the Spring 2024 season. Keep reading about this offer below.
Spring Dining Plan Disney World Discount
The newest Walt Disney World Spring 2024 discount announced is for child tickets and child pricing on the returning Disney World Dining Plan! This is the first dining discount we have seen released since the announcement of the dining plan which returns on January 9th, 2024. Here are the full details of this new ticket and dining plan discount:
- Child (ages 3-9) theme park tickets and dining plans 50% off.
- With the purchase of a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney World package.
- Package needs to include Disney Resort hotel, theme park tickets, and a dining plan.
- Valid for stays most nights March 3 through June 30, 2024.
- Bookings start on November 14th, 2023.
Is the Child Ticket & Dining Plan Offer Worth It?
For most guests, the discounted resort stay offer of up to 30% off hotels (the first offer listed in our guide) for 2024 might be the best deal but if you are traveling with more than one child then this may change the best savings. If you are a large family with multiple children in this age range, this family-targeted discount will likely be the best.
If you compare it to the Disney Dining Card Offer (detailed below) then it really depends on what resort level you pick. The higher-priced deluxe resorts can receive a dining card of $200 per night while the lower priced value resorts receive a dining card of $60 per night. Moderate level resorts fall in the middle with the savings with a dining card of $120 per night. The dining card offer is perfect for families that do not have an interest in committing to the Disney Dining Plan but know they plan on eating on site.
As always, for the most flexibility, the discount resort stays are often going to be the best deal since they do not lock you into a dining plan or the use of a Disney dining card.
What About the Disney Dining Card Offer?
The other popular 2024 travel offer right now is the Disney Dining Card offer. This discount gives guests a Disney Dining Promo Card (essentially like a Disney gift card that is just used for dining) for the resort stays. Here are the full details of this discount offer.

The dining card offer means you are taking that dining card instead of a percentage off your room per night. This is why it is essential to always compare any offers running at the same time. In some cases, they may come out even which in that case guests should select the regular room discount so they have more freedom with your dining plans. However, if the dining card comes out with the most savings and you plan on eating on-site, then that should be the logical choice.
This discount offer is likely more cost-effective for Disney than running the free dining plan promotion so it will be interesting to see if this becomes the “new free dining” offer. In most cases when I compare this offer to the percentage off room rates, it came out about even unless I picked preferred rooms or other specialty qualifiers which always provided more savings using the percentage off room offers, so in most cases, I would be inclined to recommend the percentage off rate to guests. Extra money in your pocket is more valuable than a Disney dining card, in my opinion!
