Disney World Expands Popular Resort Perk Eligibility to More Hotel Guests

Walt Disney World has gradually brought back a guest amenity that had been a staple of the Disney experience for years. While many guests are holding out hope for Disney’s free airport transportation to return, a different perk seeks to alleviate some of the stress involved in airport travel and was just updated.

Disney expanded a popular airline perk that makes traveling easier for select guests. We have details on what changed and who can take advantage of this benefit. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including layoffs hitting Disney’s theme park division and ABC’s holiday specials TV schedule.

Airport Luggage Transfer Expansion

disney world luggage transfer service

Guests staying overnight at select Walt Disney World hotels can use the Airport Luggage Transfer service. With this program, travelers drop off their checked luggage at their home airport before their flight to Orlando, and don’t see their luggage again until they’re at their Disney hotel. The service is complimentary.

Since officially rolling out this time last year, the Airport Luggage Transfer service has slowly expanded its service to more airlines and more eligible Disney hotels. Four Disney properties were just added to the list.

Here’s the full lineup of hotels that now offer the free perk, with the just-added resorts in bold, effective October 29, 2026:

  • Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

  • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
  • Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside

Coronado Springs, Gran Destino Tower, French Quarter, and Riverside are all categorized as “moderate” resorts by Disney. Their additions continue the cadence of Disney expanding Airport Luggage Transfer eligibility to more moderate resorts following Caribbean Beach in August.

This also means that all Walt Disney World value resorts and moderate resorts now participate in Airport Luggage Transfer. No deluxe resorts are on the list yet.

The following airlines participate in the program:

  • Southwest Airlines
  • American Airlines
  • United Airlines
  • JetBlue

Airline Luggage Transfer is only available for guests flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO), not other neighboring airports.

JetBlue was the most recent airline to join the list, just last month. Disney briefly added Delta to the list on its website earlier this year, but quickly removed it. Disney says, “Additional airlines could be added soon.”

Free luggage delivery was formerly one component of Disney’s Magical Express, a service that also included complimentary transportation to and from the airport for Disney resort guests. Magical Express was discontinued in 2022, but many longtime visitors want it to come back.
