New Disney World CROWD Predictions Released Through Mid-2026 – How Universal’s New Park May Impact & More

2025 is a transformative time for Disney World with new entertainment, a ride reimagining debuting, and work in progress for some major upcoming new Disney World rides. Looking ahead to the remainder of this year and beyond, we just updated our Mickey Visit Disney World crowd calendar through June 2026 with crowd-level projections for each day of the year and special events.

In our Disney World crowd calendar, we use a variety of factors to determine our crowd calendar ratings per park, including 1-Day Disney World ticket prices, annual passholder blockout dates, historical wait time data, school calendars, and any special events, festivals, or holidays occurring. We combine all of this with our own personal experience and observations visiting the parks during different times of the year. If you're thinking of planning a visit to Disney World, you'll want to look ahead at expected crowd patterns, including the impact of Epic Universe opening at Universal Orlando this summer. We will discuss all of this below…

Disney World 2025-2026 Crowd Calendar Ratings

crowds at Animal Kingdom tree of life

Looking ahead to the rest of the year and into 2026, there are always certain crowd levels you can anticipate during certain times of the year.

You can see our Mickey Visit Disney World crowd calendar for crowd ratings into June 2026 and commentary on crowd patterns you can expect throughout the year.

You can always expect a surge in crowd levels during certain times of year like Spring Break in March and April, Thanksgiving week in November, and the last couple weeks of December when kids are out on school break. This also applies to most holiday weekends, as families will take advantage of that extra day off to travel. While Spring Break and holiday weekends will primarily draw in what we categorize as “above normal” crowds, Thanksgiving week and the peak time of December surrounding the holidays are more likely to have “massive” crowds.

We expect to see a fair amount of less crowded days in August and September this year, and you can also expect some slower times during parts of January and February as well. These months are historically some of the best times to visit Disney World.

While it's difficult to anticipate for certain the impact that the opening of Epic Universe at Universal Orlando this summer will have on Disney World crowds, we do expect that Disney World attendance may be slightly negatively impacted. We may see Epic Universe draw guests away from a day at Animal Kindom in particular, as this is the least attended of the parks with construction also currently happening. Additionally, many visitors are incentivized to go to Universal Orlando as their sole vacation destination this summer rather than adding on a day at Universal to their Disney World trip because they need a multi-day ticket to get access to Epic Universe before June 1st.

Disney World is making an effort to offset this anticipated dip in attendance with a variety of new summer entertainment offerings like a new Little Mermaid show at Hollywood Studios, a new villains show at Hollywood Studios, a new nighttime parade, and the reopening of the reimagined Test Track.

Interestingly, we just got the opening information for two of these new shows and it was right around the time that Epic Universe is opening, but the parade opening date was not yet listed. The release stated that the parade would be coming “later this summer” which has us wondering when this top draw will debut and how that will further impact crowds.
