Disneyland is kicking off their Season of the Force Star Wars event that includes different Star Wars-themed offerings such as a rare character meeting for the first time, a new show in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, new food and merchandise around the parks, and more.

Disneyland Star Wars Event Kicks Off Today
The Star Wars Season of the Force event begins today (March 28, 2025) and runs through May 11, 2025.
The highlights of the event this year are the new offerings in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. This includes the new “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” projection show in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge which takes place twice nightly. Tonight at 9 pm and 10:15 pm. There are projections across the spires behind the Millennium Falcon. We look forward to seeing this tonight. See the image above for the first look at the new projection show. It's pretty cool to see that Darth Vader will be at least hinted at as part of the show.

Another new offering is Luke Skywalker meeting with guests for the very first time during a normal Disneyland theme park day in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. This is a notable addition as it works to fix one of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge's biggest mistakes we have been calling for improvements on for multiple years. Disney just released the first unobstructed image of Luke Skywalker below.
Luke will not have a meet and greet queue and instead will be appearing in the Black Spire Marketplace for a majority of the day and then once in front of the Millennium Falcon. The times are posted in the Disneyland app. We expect this to be very popular, especially on this first day.
In addition to the new offerings there are also other Star Wars highlights from Season of the Force.
- Special Star Wars version of the fireworks show from within Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge – I just wrote about how this is now one of my favorite places to watch the fireworks
- Space Mountain becomes the Star Wars-themed Hyperspace Mountain in Tomorrowland
- Disney Create Your Own Headband welcomes Star Wars plushes for the first time including Yoda, R2-D2, an Ewok, Darth Vader and a stormtrooper
- New Star Wars popcorn buckets are introduced including the Death Star Bucket
- Speciality food items including the Millennium Falcon Chocolate Lollipop, Galactic Gyro and Fried Falumpaset are available
You'll also find all of the regular Star Wars attractions at Disneyland. Those are just even more fun to ride and enjoy during this period when there is so much Star Wars going on at the resort.
We always enjoy this Star Wars event at Disneyland. During this period, the Disneyland Star Wars Nite events also takes place as part of the Disneyland After Dark series.
