Disney World World’s Character Breakfast at Flagship Resort Features Iconic Food and Rare Characters

Walt Disney World guests seeking out character dining have lots of options to choose from, and each restaurant is unique. Winnie the Pooh hosts a garden party at Magic Kingdom, and Lilo and Stitch celebrate ‘ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. We recently had breakfast at another resort on the monorail loop.

Today, we’re sharing our experience dining at a buffet restaurant with characters from 4 different Disney movies, a special wishing moment, and tons of food. We’ll show you photos of all the food on the buffet and break down what’s included for the price, plus what costs extra. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including new patents showing a potentially improved guest experience and a big Disney Gift Card discount coming up.

Wish Makers Enchanted Dining at 1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare entrance sign

Walt Disney World’s 1900 Park Fare buffet restaurant is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. It hosts Wish Makers Enchanted Dining with characters for breakfast and dinner daily. These characters are all from different Disney films, but they share in common their drive to make their wishes come true.

Like its flagship resort, the restaurant provides a relaxed, elevated environment that draws on the breezy feeling of the San Diego hotel that inspired the Grand Floridian.

We love the resorts at Walt Disney World and view restaurant experiences like this one as a specific perk of staying on property. As I wrote recently, so much of the magic of Walt Disney World happens outside the theme parks.

Cinderella 1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare is located off the Grand Floridian lobby, just past Sandy Cove Gifts & Sundries.

Restaurant table and painting

The interior of the restaurant is decorated with light Victorian-esque wallpaper with beautiful character paintings on the walls and high ceilings.

Dining with with chandeliers

There are modern chandeliers that illuminate the room without being too bright. The dining room has tables with seats and a few booths.

The space is quite elegant for a character meal. I remember coming to this buffet when I was a little kid on my first visit to Walt Disney World. Since that time, they have renewed the space in a way that keeps the same nostalgia but makes it feel fresh and airy.

Characters circulate freely. The character lineup is Cinderella, Aladdin, Mirabel from Encanto, and Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. Characters are the same for breakfast and dinner.

Tiana character

Tiana wears a special outfit here. It’s her explorer costume, the same one she wears in her ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, at Magic Kingdom. 1900 Park Fare is the only place in Disney World where Tiana wears this outfit.

Card with pencil

There was a character moment where a voice over the speakers called for all guests to write down their wishes on cards and hold them up for them to come true.

Mickey waffles and fruit

While I enjoyed the breakfast offerings here, I ran into a fundamental Disney character meal tip and easy to make character dining mistake.

The breakfast offerings are so much more limited than the brunch offerings. I recently enjoyed The Crystal Palace brunch buffet in Magic Kingdom. I actually enjoyed it more than the 1900 Park Fare meal, but that may have just been because of the timing of the meal. What I have found is that the trick is to choose a restaurant that serves both breakfast and lunch, and to book your mealtime to be right as the meals are switching. Then, you get the full array of food options. 1900 Park Fare does not serve lunch, and finishes breakfast at noon.

Turning from that side tangent, here’s a look at the buffet offerings during breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.

Pink yogurt

The highlights of the buffet for me were the croissant breakfast pizza, made-to-order omelet, and smoked salmon. The strawberry “soup” was also a fun offering. It’s basically a very sweet strawberry smoothie.

Tater tots

The croissant breakfast pizza is on the left in the photo above. In addition to unique items like that, the buffet also has more standard selections, like potato barrels, aka tater tots.

Eggs

Here’s a look at the classic eggs benedict.

Eggs

There were also scrambled eggs, with and without cheese.

Hashbrowns

If you love home cooking, there is plenty of comfort food at 1900 Park Fare. Above is the beef and potato hash casserole, the cheese potato casserole, and grits.

Carved meat

There is a carved ham station with a cast member ready to serve you.

Buffet food

The buffet also has chicken sausage and spiced tofu scramble.

Biscuits

There is a huge selection of different forms of bread at 1900 Park Fare, including biscuits…

Pancakes, waffles

…pancakes, waffles…

Breads

…white bread, croissants, multigrain bread, and bagels. There is a toaster if you want to warm anything up, plus spreads including cream cheese, grape jelly, strawberry jelly, and marmalade.

Bagels

The bagel selection includes garlic, plain, and cinnamon raisin.

Cinnamon rolls

For even more bread, there is cinnamon pull-apart bread and bread pudding with vanilla crème anglaise.

Pastries

Additional desserts include banana bread and all kinds of pastries, like cream cheese danishes, double chocolate muffins, and doughnut holes.

Breakfast is $59 for guests ages 10+ and $38 for guests ages 3-9, plus tax and gratuity.

Beverage menu

While the food and basic drinks are included in the price of the buffet, there are some alcoholic drinks and speciality coffees that are an additional charge.

Beverage menu

Alternatively, 1900 Park Fare also hosts dinner with a completely different food menu, but the same characters. Dinner is $69 for guests ages 10+ and $45 for guests ages 3-9.
