Last year, Disneyland announced a price increase on Disneyland tickets, Magic Key passes, and Lightning Lane Multi Pass on October 8, 2024. In 2023, Disneyland increased the cost of Disneyland tickets, Magic Key passes, and Genie+ (now called Lightning Lane Multi Pass) on October 11, 2023.
For Disneyland, our travel partner Get Away Today often gets to keep selling their exclusive lower prices for a limited time (typically around a week) once an increase is announced, but this is NEVER guaranteed. This is why we recommend you lock in your prices NOW. In fact, this year, there is more potential that they will NOT be able to keep the lower price after the price increase announcement.
You can see in the chart above how ticket prices have increased each year for 1-day tickets. The Disneyland ticket increase trend has shifted from the beginning of each year to October, as we saw in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Previous ticket increases took place in mid-February in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, January 2019, and February 2020. You can see our tracking of all the historical Disneyland ticket price increases here.
While the time of the year for increases has varied over the last ten years, the consistency of yearly increases has not.
Walt Disney World Price Increases Are More Unpredictable
Walt Disney World's price increase in 2024 was announced a few weeks after Disneyland's on October 23, with the delay likely due to a busy hurricane season. Before that, Walt Disney World increased ticket prices on February 24, 2024, with the increase not taking effect until 2025 for 1-day tickets. There was also a similar increase for 2026 prices on April 22, 2025 of this year, though that only impacted 1-day tickets and Annual Pass prices.
Walt Disney World's price increase schedule is a bit more varied and unpredictable than Disneyland's. In the last two years, their price increases have only applied to one-day park tickets and annual passes rather than a sweeping ticket increase for all ticket prices. But this could also mean a large price increase is on the horizon.

Before the last two ticket increases, Walt Disney World raised prices on October 11, 2023, for annual passes, parking, along with a big increase to food prices. At that time, Walt Disney World did not increase ticket prices.

Our Disney Ticket Increase Prediction
Our prediction for this 2025 round of price increases, especially for Disneyland, is that they will happen on October 7 or 8, 2025. If they follow the day of the week pattern as the Disneyland increases from last year, the increase would fall on October 8. If there is not a hurricane during this period, expect to see Walt Disney World raise some prices at the same time.
Regardless of what the exact day the price increase falls on, it will likely be within this timeframe in October. A Disneyland price increase has happened in the first half of October the last three years.
The best way to save money on Disneyland tickets before they increase in price is to purchase them in advance of your trip, especially when we know an increase is coming in October. Our travel partner, Get Away Today, offers our readers special discounted tickets that beat out all the competitors' ticket prices, but you NEED to use our exclusive link to see those prices. You do not need to know your dates either, so you can purchase far in advance! They will ask for them at checkout, but these are just to send reminder emails. If you plan on visiting Disneyland, you need to lock in your ticket prices as soon as possible before we see a Disneyland October ticket increase. Disney Can Still Be Affordable When You Plan
It makes sense for Disney to raise ticket prices in October before we head into the popular Disneyland Christmas season, which also has dates that end up being the busiest of the year, according to our Disneyland crowd calendar.
But this doesn't mean a trip to Disney becomes unaffordable. You just need to plan ahead!
This is something our founder, Gavin Doyle, recently spoke about on Fox Business. Disneyland is more popular than ever, but you can find cheaper prices during slower times of the year. There is a wide misconception that the overall prices of all Disneyland trips have gone up on all ticket types. That is actually not true and we expect to see the $104 base one day ticket stay the exact same price that it has been since 2019. Note the increase chart above in the article. However, if you are planning a trip during some of the most in demand dates, a price increase will likely impact you. This is why we urge you to lock in your prices NOW!
