Halloween continues to increase in popularity each year at the theme parks but especially at Disneyland! Disneyland and Walt Disney World both host ticketed Halloween events each year with themed attraction overlays, exclusive party entertainment, trick or treating, and rare character interactions.
Halloween at Disneyland and Walt Disney World is one of the best times of the year to visit! The parks go all out for these events, especially with the amazing decorations at Disneyland, and now we have a preview of what to expect this year. To celebrate the official Halfway to Halloween, Disney has announced more Halloween party dates than ever before, Halloween Disney Cruise Line itineraries and a lineup of new Halloween treats to enjoy NOW. New Haunted Mansion Bar Will Feature NEW Characters
More details were also released about the first ever Haunted Mansion bar. These new details include a look at the portrait gallery, similar to the style the attractions use, in the bar with brand new characters introduced. It is always a big deal in “Haunted Mansion lore” to see new character additions.

Along with this update, Disney has also shared a look at MORE exclusive merchandise coming to the Haunted Mansion Parlor including collectible mugs featuring these new characters.

Disneyland Oogie Boogie Bash Dates 2024
Disneyland has announced more Oogie Boogie Bash dates than ever before! The popularity of Oogie Boogie Bash has absolutely skyrocketed the past few years with tickets selling out fast and many guests being left out of the party experience due to the demand. Well, Disney is hoping to meet that demand by adding more party dates than ever before with Oogie Boogie Bash starting in August for the first time.
Hopefully this will help spread out the demand for Disneyland during Halloween (now one of the busiest times of the year!) so guests can have more opportunities to attend. Like previous years, the party takes place on only three days a week to try to minimize disruption to the parks since California Adventure will close at 6PM on party nights. While we do not know when Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go on sale yet, we now have the full schedule of dates for the party!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates 2024
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World is another popular seasonal event. Similar to the event that takes place in Disneyland, this Halloween party offers rare character interactions, trick or treating, party exclusive entertainment like a parade and fireworks!
This year will feature new offerings like character interactions with Bruno and Mirable from Encanto and a brand new DescenDANCE Party inspired by the upcoming Disney+ movie “Descendants: The Rise of Red.”
Walt Disney World has announced all the party event dates plus WHEN these tickets will go on sale!
Disney Halloween Treats Coming Soon
As part of the tradition for Disney’s Halfway to Halloween sneak peak, there will be limited time Halloween treats available NOW at both Downtown Disney in Disneyland and Disney Springs in Walt Disney World.
These treats vary from the viral Gideon’s Bakehouse cookies to Halloween themed macaroons!

Disney Cruise Halloween on the High Seas
Disney Cruise Line’s popular Halloween on the High Seas themed sailings will also return this year featuring brand new costumes for Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck.
These fun Halloween sailings include events like trick-or-treating, Halloween treats, character appearances, Halloween movies and activities, and character themed Disney Halloween party.

Disney Halloween Merchandise Sneak Peak
Halloween is a great time to be a Haunted Mansion fan! Disney usually pays tribute to this iconic attraction around the Halloween season and this year’s Disney Halloween merchandise collection features its own lineup of Haunted Mansion apparel. Pictured above is a sneak peak at some of these new items, I predict that Haunted Mansion quarter zip will sell out fast!
Each year Halloween at Disney gets its own color scheme and theme for most of the merchandise. This year appears to feature bright orange and purples with a classic Mickey cartoon look. This is a bit bright for my tastes but I’ll be curious to see how the Loungefly and Minnie Ears look!
