Oogie Boogie Bash More Popular Than Ever
This year Oogie Boogie Bash will take place during the Halloween season at Disneyland which runs August 23rd, 2024 through October 31st, 2024. This is the earliest we've ever seen the Halloween season at Disneyland begin which is likely in response to the growing popularity of Oogie Boogie Bash.
We do not have the official 2024 Oogie Boogie Bash party dates yet but since the time frame of the Halloween season as been extended, I imagine we will see more Halloween party dates than usual. This is likely Disneyland's way of responding to the scarcity of Oogie Boogie Bash tickets the past two years as the event as become so popular there are more people that want to attend than available tickets.
October and Halloween Time is now just as popular as December and the holiday season at Disneyland. Both 2022 and 2023 Oogie Boogie Bash tickets sold out within just a few days, that was the fastest the party has ever sold out and these ticket release dates were controlled by Disney with hour long queue lines to try to grab tickets.
UPDATE: The sale date has now been released for ticket sale dates for Oogie Boogie Bash!
Inspire Magic Key Holders get access to a limited amount of pre-sale tickets on June 25th with all other Magic Key holder types having access to a limited amount of pre-sale tickets on June 26th.
The 2024 Oogie Boogie Bash tickets will go on sale to all other guests June 27th.
The waiting room to purchase tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash will now open at approximately 8:45 a.m. PT, and sales will begin no earlier than 9 a.m. PT on Disneyland.com.
When Do Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets Go On Sale?
Oogie Boogie Bash tickets last went on sale on for 2023 party dates on June 27th 2023 for Magic Key passholders and on June 29th 2023 for the general public. Being a Magic Key holder is a huge advantage as you get access to a select amount of tickets two days early. But they do not offer availability for ALL tickets to Magic Key holders, only a select amount. Tickets went on sale both dates at 9AM PT.
For the 2022 Oogie Boogie Bash year, tickets went on sale on June 28th 2022.
The past two years we have seen Disney release Oogie Boogie Bash tickets around the last few days of June. I imagine we will see a similar time frame for 2024 Oogie Boogie Bash ticket sales. If you saving up to purchase your Oogie Boogie Bash tickets, I would be prepared for the month of June… at least!
However, we might see tickets release earlier since the party dates will start earlier this year. In the past, Halloween at Disneyland has never started prior to September. This is the first year we will see Halloween begin in August with the first official date of Halloween season being August 23rd. Since the Halloween season begins earlier, we might see tickets released earlier this year, even if it's just by a week or two.
How Fast Do Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets Sell Out?
In the past two years, Oogie Boogie Bash tickets have sold out faster than ever before. In 2022, Oogie Boogie Bash tickets sold out entirely within 24 hours of being on sale. In 2023, Disney only sold tickets through carefully controlled ‘windows' for three days and all tickets sold out during that duration.

What If Oogie Boogie Bash Sells Out?
Not all hope is lost if Oogie Boogie Bash sells out before you get a chance to get tickets but the chances are still pretty slim. Disney MAY release additional tickets to the concierges at the Disneyland Resort Hotels for on-site hotel guests ONLY. They have a record of doing this in the past as a perk for those staying on site.
If you are staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian, Pixar Place) these tickets are typically only available one day at a time and offer limited quantities to those that go down to the front desk first thing in the morning. This happened last year for the 2023 Oogie Boogie Bash season. The Disneyland hotels had small amount of tickets released for each party day and shared amongst the three hotels starting at 5AM. These tickets go INSTANTLY so you need to plan on lining up at 5AM, maybe even earlier, to get a chance at purchasing these tickets.
This is not guaranteed and is not something Disney openly advertises.
Do People Resell Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets?
During last year's Oogie Boogie Bash ticket fiasco, we saw many tickets listed for as high as $1,999.99 on resale sites and even asked for buyers to pay shipping even though it is a digital product.
However, Disney states that tickets are not allowed to be resold and makes a strong effort to ban people who engage in ticket re-selling. If Disney tracks down a reseller, the ticket will then become invalid and those that purchased these second hand will be turned away at the gate. We strongly recommend that you do not participate in trying to purchase tickets at all via resale. We have heard stories of those that bought from scalpers only to find out later that Disney will not honor their ticket since it has been transferred to a new party. Guests often do not find this out until it's too late and you are being turned away at the gate. That is a devastating occurrence for a family to go through!
Disneyland during Halloween is one of our favorite times of the year even though the month of October is a time we tell guests to AVOID Disneyland.

I was at the Disneyland Hotel last year (2023) when this party was going on. I asked two different r people at the hotel about ticket availability for guests. I was told by both they were not offering them to guests “this year.” Who can we believe when checking on something like this?
