Booking Date Announced for Disney Cruise Line Heroes and Villains Themed Ship

Disney Cruise Line is in the midst of a large expansion with multiple new ships set to debut over the next few years. The Disney Destiny is one of the newest Disney Cruise Line ships coming to the Disney fleet and is inspired by the heroes and villains of the most iconic Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions.

Disney Destiny joins the other two highly anticipated new ships, the Disney Treasure and Disney Adventure, which will both bring new lounges and entertainment to the Disney Cruise Line experience like a new Haunted Mansion bar. The Disney Treasure sets sail in December of this year while the Disney Adventure, an Asia port based ship, will set sail in 2025.

For guests hoping to be some of the first aboard the new Disney Destiny, Disney just released the official booking date!

Disney Announces Booking Date for Disney Destiny

Disney Design Coin

The Disney Destiny is themed to ‘Heroes and Villains' and is inspired by the legacy of Disney stories, characters and theme park attractions.

Bookings for the new Disney Destiny will open on August 9th for its first sailing date of December 2025. No further details have been shared quite yet on whether this date is for the general public or Castaway Club members. Typically, Castaway Club members and other groups receive advance booking windows for Disney Cruise Line.

Disney will likely share more details during three days of Disney Destiny announcements which will be shared July 30th through August 1st. Disney Cruise Line hasn't shared the itineraries quite yet for the Disney Destiny so I anticipate we will get that news during these dates along with more concrete details of the ship offerings.

Disney Destiny Shares Similar Design to Other New Ships

Disney Wish ship

The Disney Destiny is the sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure which means it will follow the same design and may also offer overlapping experiences like lounges, restaurants, or entertainment.

A sister ship is a term used to reference that the ships mirror the same design when it comes to the layout of how many decks, staterooms, and lounges. For reference, the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure both have the capacity to hold 4,000 passengers.

Disney Destiny Ship Is Theme Park Inspired

Haunted Mansion Disney Destiny concept art

The Disney Destiny description for the ship hints at being “inspired by theme park attractions” so it is possible we will see similar lounge already confirmed for the Disney Treasure be part of Disney Destiny's offerings. This is especially likely since we know the Disney Destiny is the sister ship to the Disney Treasure.

It has already been confirmed that both a Haunted Mansion and a Jungle Cruise lounge are coming to the Disney Treasure. The Haunted Mansion lounge is easily one of the most anticipated new Disney Cruise Line offerings so it would make sense for Disney to offer it onboard the Disney Destiny as well.

All details will be revealed next week on July 30th through August 1st when Disney provides more details about the Disney Destiny.
