Disney Cruise Line

Disney Adventure will be the first Disney Cruise Line ship to homeport in Asia. The Disney Adventure will sail from Singapore in 2025 and offer families in this region the ultimate vacation at sea on this newly themed ship.

This is the first time Disney is bringing the Disney Cruise Line to Asia and this is sure to be a popular offering for guests in the region. Guests from all over will likely want to travel to Singapore to experience the Disney Adventure after reading all about the immersive areas they are creating to bring to life some of the best worlds from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel.

Disney Adventure will sail three- and four-night cruises from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre for at least five years. This is part of a collaboration between Disney Cruise Line and Singapore Tourism Board.

Disney Adventure Theme

Disney Adventure map

Every Disney Cruise Line ship has a theme that sets the immersive for the main atrium and the ship's design. The Disney Adventure is being hailed as a journey and a destination that aims to bring to life the “core pillars of Disney storytelling.”

Disney referred to the Disney Adventure as an experience that offers guests a Disney Cruise Line adventure on a “grand scale.”  The terminology being used here is especially exciting as it sounds like Disney is pulling out all the stops here with this newest Disney Cruise Line ship.

Disney Cruise Line estimates the passenger capacity of the 208,000-gross-ton Disney Adventure to be approximately 6,700 with around 2,500 crew members.

This is the LARGEST Disney Cruise Line ship putting it on par with some of the larger Royal Caribbean fleet. This is an existing ship that Disney purchased and is being retrofitted by Disney Cruise Line. That's why you'll see such a different design for this ship in the style of indoor and open air “neighborhoods” which is the similar style and design of other cruise line companies.

Pym Quantum Racers will take you for a ride in Pym Tech-modified mini-cars around a track as you navigate obstacles. Groot Galaxy Spin will offer “an awesome mix of high-soaring feats and bass-boosted beats.”

The space will also include a sundeck with an infinity pool and a pool bar, inspired by Tony Stark's residence.

Disney Imagination Garden

Imagination Garden concept art Disney Adventure

The theme of the Disney Imagination Garden pulls on the “power of imagination” which opens doors to new adventures and “emboldens dreamers to create magic of their own.” Disney Imagination Garden will be a space that will be the “emotional heart” of the Disney Adventure as an enchanted valley, charming garden, and open-air performance venue all in one. This space is inspired by 100 years of heroic and heartwarming Disney Adventures, specifically calling out “Moana on the high seas to Mowgli in the jungle.”

This will be an imaginative gathering space for guests that mirrors the same purpose as the other atriums on the Disney Cruise Line ships. What is most exciting about this announcement is the “open air” description which hints at a big change in design from other Disney Cruise Line ships.

In the garden, there will be a theatrical stage, two quick-service locations, and a bar, as well as a selection of garden-view staterooms. Garden View staterooms will be a new room category for Disney Cruise Line, giving access to a verandah with views of the garden.

Imagination Garden aboard the Disney Adventure

Disney Imagination Garden is reminiscent of a classic pop-up storybook with landscapes adorned with the “decorative foliage of blossoming flowers, shaped topiaries, tall trees and cascading vines.” Guests will be able to see popular characters, iconography, and Easter eggs from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories.

On one end of the garden will be the Garden Stage and a courtyard on the other. A lawn area will lead to a staircase that creates amphitheater-style seating for the Garden Stage entertainment, which will feature shows like Avengers, Assemble! highlighting Marvel heroes and villains.

At the top of the staircase will be a courtyard with trees resembling storybook cut-outs featuring some animals from favorite stories. A topiary of Sorcerer Mickey will also be featured in the courtyard.

Over the garden, there will be a storybook castle showpiece three decks tall. This artwork is inspired by Disney castles from Disney stories and theme parks. You'll find references to various castles like the Walt Disney Pictures castle, Sleeping Beauty’s castle at Disneyland Paris, and Rapunzel’s castle, as well as influences from sketches drawn by artists like Herbert Ryman, Frank Armitage, and Eyvind Earle. The castle will be situated above a decorative waterfall and surrounded by a wave motif.
