Downtown Disney Dining Location Closing

Disneyland Resort filed a public permit with the city of Anaheim on April 9, 2026, for a 1,200-square-foot “remodel of [an] existing beverage/food unit” to prepare for a “new tenant.”

The permit’s location is listed as “DTD Building H/Suite 102.” “DTD” refers to “Downtown Disney,” while the other specifications place the work as applying to Jamba, the dining spot known for smoothies, fruit bowls, and snacks.

It seems that Disney is preparing to permanently close Jamba and prepare its space for another tenant. This is new information, as Disney has not announced Jamba’s closing.

The construction will include mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. It has not been announced if Jamba will find a new location at the resort.

The permit doesn’t indicate what may replace Jamba at Downtown Disney, or even what type of business the replacement might be. That being said, it’s possible this could be the location for Bopo Go!, a bubble tea shop.

In April 2025, Disney announced that Bopo Go! would arrive at Downtown Disney in the future, but didn’t specify where the shop would be located within the district. With still no word on the location of Bopo Go! a year later, and this news of Jamba moving out, it’s possible that Bopo Go! could be taking its place. However, Disney has not announced that.

Jamba, previously called Jamba Juice, first opened at Downtown Disney in 2003 and debuted an updated look in 2020. Downtown Disney itself opened in 2001, so Jamba has been around since almost the beginning.

Jamba is located between SEPHORA and Pandora Jewelry, near World of Disney on the side of Downtown Disney closest to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Porto's construction

The permanent closure of Jamba at Downtown Disney is a surprising development in the district’s ongoing evaluation of its restaurant roster.

Later this year, Earl of Sandwich will debut a two-story location after years of limbo in multiple temporary spots. The upstairs will be devoted to Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby, a 1960s-themed British gastropub also operated by Earl of Sandwich.

Downtown Disney will also introduce Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon; Pearl’s Roadside BBQ; and Porto’s Bakery & Café, construction for which is pictured above. See details about all of these and other upcoming Disney restaurants here.
