Walt Disney World just added three attractions to its refurbishment calendar for February 2026. Seeing as it’s already February, guests visiting Walt Disney World this month who are fans of these attractions will want to have the closures on their radar.
Below are the dates you need to know if you are planning a visit in the coming weeks. Keep in mind refurbishment timelines are always subject to change. It’s possible some attractions could reopen sooner or later than listed. At Mickey Visit, we cover the latest Disney news, like Disney World considering discounts for Annual Passes and how Disney’s new CEO may influence theme parks. Three Attractions Added to Refurbishment Calendar
At EPCOT, Impressions de France and Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along will both close starting February 22, 2026, for “routine refurbishment,” according to Disney. The company has not announced a reopening date. Both of these films share a theater in EPCOT’s France Pavilion. The refurbishment is likely related to the venue rather than the films themselves.
Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid at Magic Kingdom will be closed for one day only, February 11, 2026. While such a brief downtime is uncommon, it’s not unheard of. Disney hasn’t specified why this Fantasyland dark ride will close for a day. However, we don’t expect any major changes to the ride itself.
Impressions de France is a travelogue film. Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along is a clip show of musical sequences from the Disney animated classic. We don’t expect either film to contain new footage or change upon the theater’s reopening. Impressions de France is the only attraction in EPCOT that remains unchanged since opening day 1982. Therefore, changing it in any way would be a big deal to fans. Such a change would likely warrant more fanfare than this refurbishment announcement received.

These routine refurbishments just announced differ from some of the more drastic changes underway at other attractions throughout Walt Disney World. For example, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom closed for refurbishment in August 2025. It will reopen sometime in spring 2026 with a new scene and major cosmetic upgrades.
Meanwhile at EPCOT, Frozen Ever After is currently closed. When it reopens sometime in February 2026, the ride will show off upgraded Audio-Animatronics figures.
These are all significant changes that will stand out to longtime guests. In contrast, guests may not even notice any changes following the refurbishments of Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, Impressions de France, or Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along.
