Cool KIDS’ SUMMER is coming to a close at Disney World. The promotion runs all throughout the summer months and features fun events for families, such as exclusive character meetings, themed activities, discounts, and more. There were new shows introduced as part of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, some of which changed certain spaces into show rooms during its run.
One of those spaces in Magic Kingdom will be reverting back to its regular service soon, but with a bit of a twist. Keep reading to see what will be changing back and what will be new there! Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including three new perks for annual passholders at Disney World and the reveal of the opening date for the Hallmark movie set at Disney World.

Pop-Up Menu Coming to The Diamond Horseshoe

The Diamond Horseshoe is a table service restaurant in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom. It features a family-style, all-you-can-eat feast platter with typical Thanksgiving foods such as roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and homemade mac and cheese.
However, over the summer, that meal service was suspended to make way for Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue!, a show starring Jessie, Woody, and Bullseye to celebrate the release of Toy Story 5. This show was also a part of the Cool KIDS’ SUMMER promotion that Disney World had this past summer.

Once Cool KIDS’ SUMMER ends, The Diamond Horseshoe will return to a food service location once again, but it will feature a limited-time pop-up menu instead of its typical family-style menu. If you are still looking for that Thanksgiving dinner platter, it will still be available next door at Liberty Tree Tavern, so those meals are not going away anytime soon!
There are no details quite yet on when exactly this pop-up menu will debut at The Diamond Horseshoe. Since Cool KIDS’ SUMMER runs through September 8, we can guess that this menu will make its first appearance shortly after. An end date for this limited-time menu has also not been revealed yet.
Now let’s get into what will be on this pop-up menu. First up is the savory charcuterie board pictured above. It includes items such as cured beef, “fancy” bacon, smoked pork, green chile cheese, smoked cheddar, and pickles. While it is not as large as the usual dinner platters served at The Diamond Horseshoe, it still keeps the same family-style theme of everybody enjoying one dish together.

Next up is this Enchanting Ember Lemonade that will probably have a bit of a kick to it. It is made from Minute Maid Lemonade, strawberries, and hot honey, and also features a chili-lime rim.

Finally, we have the Cactus Rose Margarita, made with LALO Blanco Tequila, prickly pear, lime, and agave, with an orange garnish.
Again, there have not been any announcements about when this menu will debut or how long it will stick around for, but it will surely be a great new addition to the fall eats at Magic Kingdom!
