1. FireworksChild watching the fireworks and smiling

Disneyland Fireworks light up the sky all throughout the year – not just on the Fourth of July – at Disneyland Resort! These are without a doubt some of the most beloved Disneyland shows that are offered. We highly recommend them! Like parades, firework shows change seasonally. Click here to find out what is currently being offered.

Location: Sleeping Beauty Castle and Main Street, U.S.A.

Time of Show: Typicall shows every night at 9:30 PM during peak season and weekends in the off season.

Length of Wait: Expect to wait up to an hour or more if you have a specific preferred viewing location. Naturally, the closer to the castle you want to be, the sooner you should line up. If you don't care about being close, the fireworks can be viewed from several locations throughout the park without waiting in line, although views are sometimes partially obstructed.

Length of Show: About 15 minutes

Recommended For: Absolutely everyone!

Seating and Accessibility: While people are saving seats they will often sit, but once the fireworks start, most stand. Wheelchairs are allowed everywhere, though we'd recommend a location off to the side rather than the middle of the crowd so you can see around those that are standing.

Bonus Tips: Lining up early for a good fireworks spot? Take advantage of the food carts around Main Street, U.S.A.! Send one member of your party to pick up corndogs, churros, popcorn, and more for a better – and tastier – waiting experience.

2. Fantasmic!Mickey shooting fire during Fantasmic

In addition to fireworks, Disneyland offers nighttime spectaculars, special evening Disneyland shows that feature a variety of fun special effects. It's very possible that these are my very favorite of all Disneyland shows. They feature the perfect end to your day.

Starting again soon, enjoy Fantasmic! in Disneyland – a fun show on the Rivers of America that celebrates imagination and features pyrotechnics, projections, music, and all your favorite characters including Mickey Mouse!

Location: The Rivers of America in Disneyland

Time of Show: Shows are typically performed twice daily. Availability is subject to change, so make sure to check out Disneyland's official daily schedule here as you are making your plans.

Length of Wait: These are FastPass events. While you can sometimes get spots on standby, we definitely recommend getting FastPasses early in the day for the best viewing. As stated on the FastPass, you'll be allowed to line up a half hour prior to performance time. For the best seats in your assigned section, we recommend showing up even earlier than that, up to an hour before the show begins.

Length of Show: About 25 minutes

Recommended For: Everybody! These Disneyland shows can often easily be the most magical part of your vacation.

Seating and Accessibility: Ground seating. Make sure to inform a Cast Member if you have a wheelchair in your party, as there is specific wheelchair-accessible seating.

Bonus Tips: For a fun viewing option, take advantage of Dining Packages, which include a delicious meal and a reserved seat to view the show without having to wait in line for the best spot. Find more information about Fantasmic Dining Packages here .

3. World of Color

You can also enjoy World of Color over at California Adventure which is their main nighttime spectacular!

Bonus Tips: For a fun viewing option, consider enjoying the Dessert Party which is the only seated option for World of Color.

4. ParadeMain Street Electrical Parade

Parades are without a doubt some of the most popular Disneyland shows! And with offerings changing seasonally, there will always be something new for you to enjoy.

Disneyland is currently showing the Main Street Electrical Parade featuring your favorite Disney characters and millions of lights.

Length of Wait: For good seats, expect to wait up to an hour or longer. If you have a small group and don't prioritize being on the front row, you can usually find a spot and enjoy the parade right as it starts. We recommend catching the second showing of the Main Street Electrical Parade for no waiting for a front row seat.

Recommended For: Everybody!

  1. O’ Hope to have the best entertainment for my family and kids! I can’t wait to visit Disneyland with my family and friends. I haven’t been to Disneyland since 1998, my senior grad night with some of my friends. I know I’m going to have a night of my time. My kids are really going to enjoy Disneyland and have a magical time.
