1. Fireworks & Nighttime SpectacularsFireworks light up the night sky above Cinderella Castle at the tip of Main Street, USA which is decorated with illuminated Mickey Mouse lanterns

It's not a trip to Disney World without viewing the fireworks. Experiencing the firework shows at Disney World is such a key component to the experience that it makes the top of our list. Throughout the year the fireworks at Disney World change depending on the seasonal offerings.

The two main parks that feature fireworks shows are Magic Kingdom and Epcot. You can expect to see seasonal fireworks in both during the holiday season at Disney World. At Magic Kingdom, fireworks celebrating New Years, Fourth of July, Halloween, and more will be available year round. Do not miss out on these firework shows- they are truly magical.

2. Fantasmic!Mickey extends his arms and smiles while thousands of fiery sparkles fly forth from his fingertips

Fantasmic! is another show that is not to be missed due to its classic history and breathtaking music, special effects, and visuals. Fantasmic! features Mickey Mouse and showcases his dreams which are quite similar to scenes associated with Fantasia. You can also expect to see appearances from classic movies such as Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, The Little Mermaid, and more.

You can find Fantasmic! in Hollywood Studios playing nightly during peak times of the years and on weekends during less busy months of the year. There are also dining packages available for this show if you'd like the advantage of having a reserved spot!

3. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt SpectacularIndiana Jones and Marion run on a fiery set of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

Watch in awe as Indiana Jones and Marion perform breath taking movie-quality stunts during this Indiana Jones themed show. The story is set in front of the backdrop of ancient ruins and Indiana and Marion pursue the golden idol battling bad guys, avoiding fake bullets, and explosions from a moving vehicle.

We don't want to spoil the end but it's quite the explosive finale! Make sure to check the Disney World entertainment schedule for the most up to date times to see this stunt show in Hollywood Studios.

4. Harminious

Harminious is the nighttime spectacular at Epcot that debuted as part of Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary. The show celebrates how the music of Disney inspires people all over the world and carries the crowd ‘harmoniously' on a stream of Disney tunes reinterpreted by a diverse group of musical artists. The show features massive floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics and lasers. This show is one of the largest nighttime spectaculars ever created for  Walt Disney World!

5. Disney Festival of Fantasy ParadeTop Five Shows at Disney World - A parade in front of Cinderella Castle featuring Rapunzel on a float shaped like a boat and more characters following behind her

You can't have a Disney World vacation without seeing one the parades which is why one of them had to make our top five shows at Disney World list. Similar with the firework shows, the parades at Disney World can vary depending on the seasonal offerings. Around the holiday season you can expect to see Christmas themed parades or spooky themed parades during Halloween time.

One parade that stands the test of time year round is the Disney Festival of Fantasy parade in Magic Kingdom. This parade embodies the spirit and joy of Fantasyland as it celebrates many of the classic Disney films and their characters. You can expect to see Disney princesses, Peter Pan, Maleficent as a fire breathing dragon, and Mickey and Minnie! Check the Disney World entertainment schedule for daily times. 1. I have told my family that for my 80th birthday, April 10, 2022, I want the whole family (two sons, two daughters-in-law, two grandchildren, ages will be 7 and 4, my husband, and me) to go to Disney World. We live in California so we go to Disneyland all the time. My son and daughter-in-law got married there. I love it but Disney World is my favorite place on earth, after Italy. Hopefully, I don’t get COVID and die before then.
