Full Ride Video POV: Disney’s New Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Ride That Replaced Splash Mountain

We have an exciting new full on ride video of Tiana's Bayou Adventure that was just released. As we are heading into the summer, the Disney World Resort is gearing up for the highly anticipated opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure at the end of June.

As progress on the ride continues and everything is reaching its final stages, Disney has been releasing glimpses of what to expect, like the impressive new Audio-Animatronics in the attraction and a reveal of scenes and the ride's big finale. The construction walls were also taken down the other day revealing the ride's exterior and new attraction sign.

Now, Disney has released a full POV ride-through of Tiana's Bayou Adventure! With Cast Member ride-throughs of the attraction and other upcoming preview events, we can assume that Disney is living with the reality that the footage will make it out to social media and they're owning that by providing high-quality footage of the attraction for people to see first. Tiana's Bayou Adventure POV Ride Through

The events of Tiana's Bayou Adventure take place after the ending of the first Princess and the Frog movie. The premise of Tiana's Bayou Adventure is that Tiana and her friends are preparing for a big celebration during Mardi Gras season, but due to a mix-up between Louis and Naveen, they are missing a band. Guests will join Tiana and Louis as they venture into the bayou in search of this “missing ingredient” to find musical critters.

The first lift hill is the first time we see Tiana! She greets guests and tells them that Louis is waiting and they're all heading to the bayou to find a band for the celebration. We're assuming that the plot point of the mix-up about the band is probably shared before the start of the actual ride due to her dialogue here.

The ride kicks off with some favorite songs from Princess and the Frog including “Down in New Orleans” and “Almost There.” It looks like a really beautiful view of the exterior of the ride all lit up at night from the outdoor portion following the first lift hill!

A few moments after the drop into the indoor portion of the ride, guests will see Louis greeting them! This animatronic is amazing and really captures the essence of the character.

We then get to see new characters in the attraction as we encounter a group of animatronic critters making music in the bayou! You can see their character descriptions that Disney previously released.

One cool detail that shows up during the ride is the fireflies that are all flying in a formation to the beat of the music as if they are dancing!

The next portion of the ride is focused on the talent of the musical critters as Tiana, Louis, and the guests groove to the music!

Tiana mentions that all of the critters are playing at the party, but she needs to keep looking “high and low” for more musical acts. This is where Mama Odie comes in, and in a cool moment, she uses her magic to turn everyone in the ride tiny as they go down a small drop. You can see this moment in the featured image at the top of the article. Guests then float through a scene where everything is bigger, including the frogs and the fireflies!

The lift hill leading up to the big drop will feature the song “Dig a Little Deeper” as guests return to their normal size before they go through some mist into the drop.

In the big finale after the final drop, guests will float through a beautiful scene where they will see Tiana alongside several characters from Princess and the Frog and the musical critters of the bayou. The scene features favorite characters including Charlotte, Eudora, Naveen, Ralphie, and Louis in this huge celebration with the song “Special Spice” playing.

Mama Odie appears in a cute moment at the end of the ride with Juju and a pile of beignets!
