Universal Studios Hollywood Early Access Ticket For Super Nintendo World

Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood has been an instant hit with guests of all ages since it draws on the nostalgia and interactivity of the Super Nintendo Mario games. This land includes interactive games, character experiences plus a brand new Bowser themed attraction. The popularity of this land has led Universal to sell a Super Nintendo World Early Access Ticket!

Since this early is so new and popular, the wait times for Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge can reach up to three hours and you will even notice lines for the interactive elements. Luckily, there is a good way to beat most of these crowds and this is by purchasing a special early access ticket.

Universal Studios Hollywood offers Hollywood Early Access tickets which gives guests exclusive access to the land before the theme park opens for the day.

How to Access Super Nintendo World

Super Nintendo World mario

Super Nintendo Land is located on the lower lot in Universal Studios Hollywood and the land itself is fairly small in comparison to other areas of the theme park like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Universal controls access to this land when crowd levels gets high so that all guests in the land can have an enjoyable experience. However, it's been some time since we've seen Universal limit access to the land. Currently there are four different options for entry depending on crowd levels at Universal Studios Hollywood.

  • Early Access Ticket– you have the option of purchasing access to Super Nintendo World that begins one hour before the park opens. (See more on Universal Studios Hollywood ticket prices here.)
  • Virtual Line– Universal may implement a virtual queue to enter Super Nintendo World for no additional cost to help control crowds on peak days.
  • Universal Express Pass– purchase of Express Pass includes entry into Super Nintendo World if there is a virtual queue in place.
  • Walk In- if the reservation system isn't in place, which it often isn't, you can just simply walk in!

If there is no virtual queue in place, then you can simply walk right into Super Nintendo World. Just check the Universal Studios Hollywood app or the signs around the park to see if Universal is using the queue.

When Super Nintendo Land first opened Universal utilized the queue often for the land but recently we've haven't seen the queue activated unless it was for extreme crowds like the level we see theme parks each on New Year's Eve.

Since Universal Studios Hollywood doesn't use the virtual queue often anymore, the land is often extremely crowded which can create long lines not just for Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge but for all the interactive elements in the land like the video game levels guests can participate in. This is what makes the Super Nintendo World Early Access Ticket so appealing. Since the land doesn't receive much crowd control any longer, there is a lot of appeal in entering the area before the theme park opens!

Super Nintendo World Early Access Ticket

Super Nintendo World Early Access Ticket is an add-on option to your existing Universal Hollywood ticket. The ticket includes early access to Super Nintendo for one hour prior to the scheduled park opening time. So if Universal Studios Hollywood opens at 8AM, your early access ticket for Super Nintendo World will be from 7AM-8AM.

The ticket also includes one-time express line access to the Studio Tour until 11AM.

How Much Is the Super Nintendo World Ticket?

Is The Super Nintendo World Ticket Worth It?

Super Nintendo World Bowser ride

Nearly everyone is running right to Super Nintendo World when it opens right now making the Early Access Ticket a good move at the moment. Once the park officially opens for the day, Super Nintendo World remains crowded throughout the day.

If riding Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge is a priority then Super Nintendo World early access is especially worth the value as this attraction always has the longest line of all the other attractions.

Along with the popular Mario Kart ride, the interactive games within the land which allow guests to experience video game levels just like in Super Nintendo, usually draw long lines as well. Being able to enjoy both Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge and these interactive games without crowds makes this ticket especially worth it.

Super Nintendo World toadstool cafe

Early access into the land also gives guests a chance at being some of the first to reserve a time for the popular new Super Nintendo World restaurant Toadstool's Cafe. Reservations for this new dining opportunity go quickly so having first dibs of the day on your dining time is another great advantage. Guests can only book a reservation in person inside the land, you cannot do it in advance.

The ticket also includes one-time express line access to the Studio Tour until 11AM. This is especially appealing as the famous Studio Tour has recently received new updates and is in the mist of celebrating it's anniversary which has created longer waits for the iconic ride.

Being able to enjoy limited capacity in the land an hour before park opening is definitely worth it! If seeing Super Nintendo World is a priority for your group then I highly recommend purchasing the Super Nintendo World early access ticket.
