Attractions That Allow Guests to Try Them on for SizeMr. Toad's Wilds Ride

Some attractions, such as Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Dumbo, and Mad Tea Party have attraction vehicles stationed around the attraction so Guests can test them out to see if they are a good fit. If you are plus size and you are worried about the fit in one of these three attractions, climb into one of these test vehicles to see if you fit comfortably.

Attractions with Lap Bars

Attraction lap bars could be a good thing or a cause of concern for Pooh-size Guests. On the plus side, lap bars are adjustable and allow Guests the ability to comfortably restrain themselves according to their size. On the downside, lap bars could be worrisome if a Pooh-size Guest rides an attraction with a smaller person, such as a child. No worries, though. The Disneyland Resort is all about safety and would never endanger riders. Even on Big Thunder Mountain, with its high speed and high thrill level, the lap bars keep all Guests safe no matter their position. If at all concerned, ask a Cast Member to check you and your riding partner’s restraint. Cast Members are obligated to ensure all riders safety.

Although attractions in Fantasyland, such as Alice in Wonderland, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, Pinocchio’s Daring Journey, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, are a tight squeeze, their lap bars are non-constricting making the ride doable for Pooh-size Guests.

The following additional attractions are equipped with lap bars / lap restraints that fit Pooh-size Guests comfortably.

Disneyland:

  • Haunted Mansion
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
  • Gadget’s Go Coaster
  • Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
  • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
  • Hyperspace Mountain

Disney California Adventure

Attractions with Seat BeltsDisneyland Matterhorn

Most attractions are equipped with seat belts that are large enough to open to fit two or more individuals. Seat belt-equipped attractions that can fit more than one Guest, such as Autopia and Dumbo, are large enough to fit Pooh-size Guests and a guest. If at all worried about fit, opt to sit by yourself!

Pooh-size Guests can also request seat belt extenders if the seat belt does not fit.

A tip that can assist all riders, not just Pooh-size Guests, when it comes to fastening your seat belt on any seat belt-equipped attraction is to pull your seat belt out and secure it before sitting down. Also, what I do when I get into any attraction with a seat belt is extend the seat belt to its full size and adjust after I am seated and belted in.

The following attractions are equipped with seat belts that fit Pooh-size Guests comfortably.

Disneyland:

  • Indiana Jones Adventure
  • Matterhorn Bobsleds
  • Autopia

General Tips and Tricks for Pooh-Size GuestsAutopia ride with mom and child- pooh-size guests

Know that the Disneyland Resort accommodates all body types. The following tips can help Pooh-size Guests when visiting the Resort:

  • Carry a small bag – The smaller your bag is, the less hassle (and space) it takes up on attractions. Plus, it really is easier to get in and out of attraction vehicles when you are not carrying a monster-size bag with you! Opt for a smaller backpack that is easy to put on and take off!
  • Do your research – Check the Disneyland website for any additional restrictions.
  • Choose the front seat – If possible, choose to sit in the front of most attractions (if you can). The front is always more spacious. Such attractions to request to sit up front are Radiator Springs Racers, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, and Splash Mountain (and actually the back seat as well).
  • Visit guest services – Stop by Guest Services at City Hall in Disneyland or the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park before you ride any attraction to discuss accessibility and attraction comfort.
  • Indulge in the fabulous entertainment – Why not just spend an entire day witnessing every magical show that the Resort has to offer! You will not be disappointed! Choose from incredible live stage shows, parades, fireworks, and character experiences!
