TONS of Star Wars Merch for May the 4th Coming Soon- All Release Dates!

May the 4th is the official Star Wars holiday and each year we see a variety of new Star Wars merchandise released at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and online. Special merchandise always includes a variety of May the 4th specific items along with a variety of collector items, apparel, pins, lightsabers, Loungefly items, and more.

This year Disneyland is celebrating Season of the Force until June 2nd which is a Star Wars focused event featuring the addition of new characters into Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Star Wars focused fireworks, and brand new Star Tours scenes.

This year we will see MORE merchandise than ever for May the 4th since it also aligns with the 25th anniversary of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Let's get into all the new merchandise coming to the Disney Parks plus some exciting collector's items we're seeing debut this year for May the 4th and the anniversary of the first prequel film. May the 4th Date Merchandise

A collection of apparel is coming to Disneyland and Walt Disney World for May the 4th 2024. This year includes an adult pullover embroidered sweatshirt for adults plus a t-shirt for both kids and adults featuring similar artwork. There is also a baseball hat for adults with the “Star Wars Day May the 4^th Be With You 2024” logo on the bill.

My favorite from this collection is thestainless steel water bottle with straw with artwork of Boba Fett, C-3PO and R2-D2.

This collection also includes a limited edition pin of R2-D2 and a limited edition MagicBand+ featuring the same artwork as the apparel.

This collection is available online but will also be sold in Disneyland and Walt Disney World on May 4th!

NEW Artist Series Line

Some of my favorite merchandise lines Disney does are those when they partner up with artists.

This year for both May the 4th and to celebrate Season of the Force, a new artist merchandise line featuring the art of William Gay is available online and is coming soon to the parks. So far only a few items are online, I expect we will see more released!

Tatooine Themed Loungefly Collection

There is also a brand new Loungefly collection coming soon to the Disney Parks called the “Sands of Tatooine” featuring a Loungefly backpack, Minnie Ears, spirit jersey, and a Starbucks cup.

This new collection releases on the Disney Store website April 15th at 8AM PT. I anticipate we will also see it debut in the parks around a similar timeframe.

Darth Maul Legacy Lightsaber

One of the most exciting announcements is the release of the Darth Maul Legacy Lightsaber set. This will be a limited edition collection and comes complete with light and music effects. Based on the image provided by Disney, the box appears to light up and I imagine we'll hear the score most often associated with Maul- Duel of Fates- when you open the case. This is part of a larger collection releasing for the anniversary of the Star Wars: The Phantom Menace which also will include apparel, collectible Queen Amidala ears, and more!

This lightsaber and other anniversary items will debut May 4th at 8AM PT on the Disney Store website. It will also likely be available the same day at Dok Ondar's in Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Darth Maul is a huge fan favorite character so I anticipate LONG lines for this popular Star Wars lightsaber that day at the Disney Parks.

Star Wars Cosplay Items On the Way

We have also received the teaser photo featuring a full length Princess Leia dress that part of the new merchandise coming to Disneyland during Season of the Force would feature a “roleplay refresh.” This is something to keep an eye on especially as we continue to speculate that Disney might be loosening the reigns on the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge timeline. 

Phantom Menace Anniversary Funko Pops

It wouldn't be a Star Wars merchandise event without Funko pops! There are a large variety of Funko Pops releasing for the 25th anniversary of the Phantom Menace.

You can preorder most of these online on Amazon but they all release around May 15th.

Life Size Home Depot Darth Vader and Stormtrooper

This one is a must share, this year Home Depot will have a 7- and 6-feet tall Darth Vader and Stormtrooper animatronics. They come with interchangeable accessories for Halloween and Christmas, seasonal sayings, and lifelike movements. Take my money!

These aren't available quite yet but watch out for when Home Depot releases their Halloween decor as these might sell out quickly as most of their Disney related holiday merchandise usually does. Anyone remember the Haunted Mansion Halloween line from this past year? My Home Depot got to know me by name as I showed up so much trying to collect it all.

This is such a great collection of merchandise and it's just the tip of the iceberg. There have already been leaked images online about NEW Lego sets featuring a podracing scene and battle droid on their way to celebrate the anniversary of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace which will likely debut around June.
