New Nighttime Spectacular Pays Tribute to Main Street Electrical Parade
This new show, called “Disney Electrical Sky Parade,” features 500 synchronized drones taking on the form of illuminated floats, symbolizing icons of the parade like the train of Mickey Mouse and friends, Elliott the dragon, and Cinderella’s carriage. The spectacular also features video projections, lights, and fountains across Sleeping Beauty Castle. Disney's Electrical Sky Parade features the iconic electro-syntho-magnetic music from the parade that has been remixed for this nighttime spectacular! The Main Street Electrical Parade previously ran at Disneyland Paris between 1992 and 2003.
Disney Electrical Sky Parade Run Extended
The show debuted on January 8, 2o24 at Disneyland Paris. While the show was initially planned to close this September, it has now been extended through January 6, 2025. Before you get too upset that this is at Disneyland Paris and not at a US park, read on because there is some exciting news around the Disneyland Paris entertainment leadership.
As we detail below, this show is just another addition to the incredible lineup of entertainment at Disneyland Paris. This isn't just great news for Disneyland Paris guests. The former VP of Disneyland Paris entertainment, David Duffy, shared back in August that he is moving to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to lead all Live Entertainment at the resort. With that context, it's thrilling to look through some of the below shots and watch the videos in this post to see one of the incredible projects that was created under his direction.
We can only hope that David Duffy helps to bring some of this impressive technology to the United States parks and not just Walt Disney World but Disneyland too.
Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, shared a video of the nighttime spectacular on her Instagram account, which you can see some highlights from below. I had the chance to spend some time with Natacha at the most recent D23 Expo. While talking to her, she shared that one of her favorite parts of the job is getting to work with the creative teams on the live entertainment at the parks. Natacha, the final product that we see below really demonstrates you and the Disneyland Pair team's personal affection and passion for Disney.

This new nighttime spectacular looks like a really incredible addition. In general, Disneyland Paris has been firing on all cylinders for entertainment over the past couple of years. As they wrap up their 30th-anniversary celebration at the resort, it's amazing that they are already launching a substantial new set of entertainment at the resort.
Pete's Dragon in Nighttime Spectacular
Look at the shot above of Elliott the Dragon from Pete's Dragon. There is literally smoke coming out of one of the drones where his nostril is just like the float in the parade that you can see in the shot at the top of this article.
Nostalgia of Main Street Electrical Parade
This is a nighttime spectacular that we would love to have at Disneyland! From the clips that we have been watching online, the show seems to have used the nostalgic window of the Main Street Electrical Parade to come into an incredible fireworks and drone show.
You can see a snippet of the show and how impressive it will look in person via our Instagram below. Be sure to click below to follow @MickeyVisit for even more fun from the parks.

Concept Artwork vs. Finished Product
One thing that is so incredible about the drones aspect of the show is that the concept artwork really comes to life. Here's what the concept artwork shows will be part of the show and then below is the video.

New Disneyland Paris Entertainment
Disneyland Paris recently finished celebrating its 30th anniversary, offering several experiences to guests including the nighttime spectacular Disney D-Light featuring drone choreography and the daytime show “Dream… And Shine Brighter!”.
Disneyland Paris also added more new entertainment experiences in 2024 as part of Disney Symphony of Colors. In addition to the nighttime spectacular, it also introduced a new daytime show!
You can see some clips of the daytime show below. It has perhaps one of the most ear worm soundtracks I have heard in recent years from a new show.
New Daytime Show “A Million Splashes of Colour”
As of February 10, 2024, there is a new daytime show celebrating Disney Animation and Pixar, called “A Million Splashes of Colour.” It will be performed several times per day and “will take guests on a journey through time to discover the stories of Disney Animation and Pixar – from timeless classics to the most recent hits.” The floats will be inspired by music, art, and writing, which lie at the core of Disney Animation and Pixar storytelling. Music will play a major role in this show, combining two original scores and a mashup of songs from Disney Animation and Pixar films. The show will run until September 30, 2024.
Here's a look at the development of the new daytime show at Disneyland Paris.
New Decorations on Main Street U.S.A.
Disney Symphony of Colors also introduced decorations on Main Street U.S.A. earlier this year alongside the new entertainment offerings.
The decorations included a sprinkling of color, light, and flowery touches from pixie dust sprinkled by Tinkerbell and her sister Perriwinkle. The decorations drew inspiration from Art Nouveau and featured over 50 Disney Animation and Pixar characters. Main landmarks on Main Street U.S.A., like the Gazebo and Main Street Station, were decorated for Disney Symphony of Colors.
