Inside Disney’s Massive New Penthouse Suite With Magic Kingdom View

Disney's Polynesian Resort Island Tower is a new 10-story tower opening this week at Walt Disney World offering a variety of room types but one the most impressive is the new massive Penthouse Suite with a view of Magic Kingdom!

Renting Disney Vacation Club points to stay at deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite money saving hacks. You do not have to be a Disney Vacation Club owner to rent these rooms which means this room type is available for all guests, not just DVC members!

This massive new Penthouse Suite is the most luxurious option at the new Island Tower although we also loved the tours of the Duo Studio rooms, Deluxe Studio rooms , One Bedroom Villas and Two Bedroom Villas! Let's take a tour of the massive Penthouse Suite at the new Island Tower!

Penthouse Suite at Polynesian Island Tower

Penthouse Island Tower

The new Penthouse Suite at the Island Tower is 1,448 square feet. There are four penthouses total in the building.

You can see the waterfront views which include a view of Magic Kingdom.

Here's a closer look at the view, to the left of the Contemporary Resort you can see the outline for Space Mountain and Cinderella Castle.

The penthouse isn't a multi-story room like the one at the Disneyland Hotel Villas and it also doesn't have the same sliding doors to really open it up to the outdoors. But you do still have access to this balcony space.

Island Tower

The living space here is beautiful with yet more great views. There doesn't seem to be a bad view anywhere in this tower with the proximity of Bay Lake. I would be just as excited as a two bedroom villa as I would as a penthouse because all these bay-facing rooms have great views.

Island Tower

Large living spaces throughout this Penthouse, the space here is very impressive.

Penthouse kitchen

The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils and kitchenware you will need.

Island Tower kitchen

There is a stove, microwave, toaster- you name it! The lower cabinets feature pots, pants and the drawers all include kitchen utensils. This is literally like a small apartment.

Penthouse bathroom

The bathroom features similar designs to the other rooms in the Island Tower.

The bathroom also features the same stunning bathtub setup as the One Bedroom Villa and Two Bedroom Villas.

While this penthouse is impressive, there are a lot of similarities between this and the bedroom villas which is somethign to consider if you truly do not need 1,448 square feet of space.

Polynesian Island Tower Opening Soon

Poly Tower Disney World

The Island Tower is the new 10-story tower for the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows at Walt Disney World. This hotel is located in the Magic Kingdom area and features design elements inspired by the South Pacific islands and was inspired by early concept art of the Polynesian Resort from Walt Disney Imagineering.

This new Island Tower also aligns with Disney's 2030 environmental goals by using 30 percent less energy than comparable resorts and will include the first-all electric kitchen on Walt Disney World Resort property in the tower's restaurant.

The tower offers a variety of room types that can sleep two to nine guests including duo studios, deluxe studio rooms, one and two bedroom villas, and two bedroom penthouse villas. The new Island Tower opens December 17th 2024.
