Inside Duo Studio Rooms at Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Disney's Polynesian Resort Island Tower opens this week at Walt Disney World and we got the first look at the room type that will be most popular with guests, the Duo Studio rooms!

Renting Disney Vacation Club points to stay at deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite money saving hacks. You do not have to be a Disney Vacation Club owner to rent these rooms which means this room type is available for all guests, not just DVC members!

The Duo Studio rooms are going to be the most affordable out of the range of room types including the deluxe rooms, one bedroom and two bedroom villas and the out of this world penthouses. Let's take a tour of the Duo Studio room at the new Island Tower!

The design elements of the Island Towers are inspired by the South Pacific islands which we can see in the artwork around the studio. The duo studio rooms have one pull down bed.

The tile work in the bathroom uses the same beautiful hues of blue.

This same coloring is also reflected in the hallways leading into the duo studio rooms.

This is one of the most popular deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World so it is great to see all these additional rooms added with the opening of the Island Tower to further increase availability at this resort. In fact, this is one of the first resorts to sell out when we see Walt Disney World hotel discounts released!

Polynesian Island Tower Opening Soon

Poly Tower Disney World

The new Island Tower opening at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows has beautiful waterfront views of Magic Kingdom with design elements inspired by the South Pacific islands. This 10-story tower's architecture was inspired by early concept art of the Polynesian Resort from Walt Disney Imagineering.

The Polynesian Island Tower aligns with Disney's 2030 environmental goals by using 30 percent less energy by using 30 percent less energy than comparable resorts and will include the first-all electric kitchen on Walt Disney World Resort property in the tower's restaurant. The rugs in the guest rooms are even made from recycled plastic!

The tower offers a variety of room types that can sleep two to nine guests including duo studios, deluxe studio rooms, one and two bedroom villas, and two bedroom penthouse villas. The new Island Tower opens December 17th 2024.
