Best and Worst Rated Disney Magic Kingdom Restaurants On Yelp, Plus Our Thoughts

Magic Kingdom is the most iconic theme park at Walt Disney World and is home to some of the most well-known dining locations at the resort. However, not all these restaurants earn rave reviews from guests. Looking at Yelp ratings gives us a glimpse into which restaurants consistently impress guests and which others tend to fall short.

We took a look at the highest and lowest rated Magic Kingdom restaurants on Yelp and then compared those rankings to our own personal experiences to see how valid they are. We organized our rankings from worst rated to best, based on the top six most reviewed Magic Kingdom restaurants inside the park. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including a recent crackdown on Disney World resort hotel access and a Disney theme park tradition quietly retired after 30 years.

6. Tony’s Town Square Restaurant- Worst

Tony Square Restaurant

At the bottom of the Yelp rankings, we have Tony’s Square Restaurant, which isn’t too much of a surprise, as this restaurant is commonly criticized. This is an Italian-inspired table service restaurant themed after Disney’s Lady and the Tramp. One of the best parts of this restaurant is the location, as it overlooks Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A.

Tonys Square Restaurant

The biggest complaints from Yelp reviews focus on the value and food quality. Many guests compared the restaurant to a chain restaurant experience, with other common criticisms calling out the noisy dining room and bland pasta dishes. We would agree with these reviews, but the cute atmosphere of this restaurant doesn’t disqualify it immediately from our list. Some reviewers get even harsher, with some calling it the worst dining at Magic Kingdom. We don’t quite agree with that sentiment, but there are better options.

5. Be Our Guest- Worst

Be Our Guest is one of the two castle dining experiences in Magic Kingdom and is inspired by Beauty and the Beast. It features three themed dining rooms, including the grand Ballroom and West Wing, offering a French-inspired menu. This is an incredibly popular table-service restaurant, and guests have the opportunity to meet the Beast when they dine here.

Be Our Guest

Yelp reviewers are consistent that Be Our Guest has stunning theming and immersive atmosphere, and that it’s worth experiencing at least once. But the biggest negatives focus on the prix fixe menu, and many guests feel the food quality doesn’t justify the high price. This is a sentiment we agree with, as Be Our Guest is a “one and done” experience for many guests.

4. Liberty Tree Tavern- Worst

Liberty Tree Tavern is a colonial-inspired restaurant offering an all-you-care-to-enjoy Thanksgiving-style feast. There are six themed dining rooms dedicated to historical figures like Benjamin Franklin and George Washington. One fan favorite item includes the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, and something that Yelp reviews call out often.

Reviewers also praise this restaurant for its hearty comfort food and great value compared to other Magic Kingdom restaurants. The big portions make this a standout option. Some reviews note that the Thanksgiving-style menu is not appealing to everyone, especially in hot weather. This is one of our favorite restaurants, one we name in our best Disney World restaurants, and most reviews agree with our assessment.

3. Cinderella’s Royal Table- Best

Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the most popular and most expensive restaurants located inside Cinderella Castle. This is one of the most iconic restaurants at Magic Kingdom, so we’re not surprised to see it make this list. This is a classic character dining meal that includes interactions with the most iconic Disney Princesses, including Cinderella.

Cinderella Royal Table

On Yelp, reviewers all rave about the unique experience of being able to eat inside Cinderella Castle and call out the amazing princess interactions. This is often stated as the main reason to book the experience with the impressive atmosphere and characters. However, many reviews focus on the food being of poor quality and complain about the experience requiring prepayment. We would agree with the critique on the prepayment, but the food quality here is often good, even if you are limited to the prix fixe menu.

2. Jungle Navigation Skipper Canteen- Best

Magic Kingdom alcohol

Jungle Navigation Co., LTD Skipper Canteen is inspired by the world-famous Jungle Cruise attraction in Adventureland. The restaurant offers a great themed experience and serves a menu with dishes inspired by flavors from Asia, Africa, and South America. This is one of our favorite restaurants at Magic Kingdom.

Jungle Canteen food

Yelp reviews consistently match our enthusiasm for this restaurant, with most praising the Skipper Canteen for the most unique and diverse food in Magic Kingdom. The immersive setting inspired by the Jungle Cruise is also commonly mentioned, with all the great details in the restaurant. One of the only complaints we saw in the reviews is the adventurous nature of the menu, which might be a deterrent to picky eaters.

1. Sleepy Hollow- Best

Funnel Cake

Sleepy Hollow surprised us as a quick-service restaurant that outshone the other options in Magic Kingdom! This popular spot came in at number one in terms of the highest rankings on Yelp. This location in Liberty Square is known for its sweet and savory waffles with a view of Cinderella Castle. This is mainly a stop for breakfast or a snack, not a sit-down restaurant like the other options on this list.

Sleepy hollow waffle

The Yelp reviewers praise Sleepy Hollow for the most iconic snacks in the theme park and call it one of the best quick-service options. Many call out the fresh fruit and chocolate-hazelnut waffles, plus the iconic view of the castle. The only complaint was the long lines, but many said it’s worth the wait! This option coming in at number one isn’t too much of a surprise, as it’s easily one of the most iconic, hearty snack spots.
