Eggstravaganza Disneyland

The main activity to hunt for at Disneyland is the big Easter Egg-stravaganza! This is the highlight for guests enjoying Easter fun at Disneyland. In 2024, Easter is on March 31st. This year's Eggstravaganza will take place throughout the Disneyland Resort from March 11 to April 9, 2024.

This Easter themed scavenger game has become a popular springtime tradition at the Disneyland Resort for years. Guests purchase map and sticker sets and then partake in a hunt to find the corresponding eggs on the map!

There are three different game boards to pick from: one for Disneyland park, California Adventure park and Downtown Disney.

Easter Egg-stravaganza maps can be purchased for $9.99 per map at these locations:

Downtown Disney

Redemption locations include Disney Showcase at Disneyland Park, Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure Park, and Disney’s Pin Traders and World of Disney at Downtown Disney District, while supplies last. Once you redeem your map you'll receive one of six collectible Disney eggs! You don't even need to fill out the egg hunt if you don't want to, you can also just purchase the map and receive your egg.

Disneyland Resort Hotels Easter Egg Hunt

During the most recent Easter celebration at Disneyland, there was an exclusive Easter Egg Hunt for Disneyland Resort hotel guests offered on Easter Day. The event took place from 9:00am-12:00pm in the Grand Ballroom at the Disneyland Hotel.

Guests needed to select a time for their egg hunt and visit the Guest Services Desk to make their reservation. There were also separate egg hunts for children 5 years and younger and children 6-12 years old. This looks like a fun activity for guests staying at the Disneyland Resort hotels over Easter weekend!

Disneyland Easter Sweets and Treats

Easter Brunch Spots at Disneyland

There are some great brunch options to enjoy for Easter at Disneyland! This is an extremely popular day to get a dining reservation at Disneyland so I highly recommend reading our guide to securing hard to get dining reservations. Reservations release right at the 60 day mark at 6AM PT time so be ready to book your dining reservation online (the quickest option!) right on time.

Here's a few great restaurant ideas for a nice Easter brunch or lunch option including character dining that kids (and kids at heart!) will love:

Disneyland

  • Breakfast With Minnie and Friends at the Plaza Inn– The Plaza Inn serves a breakfast buffet including Mickey waffles, pancakes, omelette stations, breakfast potatoes, hashbrowns, sausage/bacon, and more. The Plaza Inn is beautiful and was decorated by Walt's wife Lillian making it a good choice for an elegant Disney brunch experience. This is also a character dining experience where you see the most variety of characters including Minnie Mouse, Eeyore, Captain Hook, Rafiki, Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Chip n Dale, and Fairy Godmother.
  • Carnation CafeI highly recommend the Carnation Cafe as one of the most nostalgic places to eat in Disneyland. The atmosphere of Main Street U.S.A. is prominent while you dine which makes for a memorable lunch experience.

California Adventure

  • Carthay Circle-Carthay Circle is meant to transport you back to Hollywood in the 1930's at the height of the cinematic Golden Age. This is one of the upscale options for dining in California Adventure so if you're looking for a fine dining experience, Carthay Circle is a great pick.
  • Lamplight Lounge- The Lamplight Lounge is a Pixar themed restaurant on Pixar Pier with fabulous views of the ferris wheel and the theme park. There's indoor seating and an outdoor patio. On weekends Lamplight Lounge offers a fantastic brunch option with speciality food and drinks.

Grand Californian

  • Disneyland Princess Breakfast Adventures– The morning begins with a three course breakfast (with champagne options for adults!) in the fine dining option of Napa Rose. During breakfast Princesses such as Belle, Tiana, Ariel, Jasmine and others arrive to greet and make memories with families. After breakfast there's storytelling moments with the Princesses and take home souvenirs for guests. This is a premium character dining option with a price tag to match. If you're looking for character dining in a signature restaurant, this is a great fit.
  • Mickey's Tales of Adventure Character Breakfast– Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast is a buffet style meal that has food that appeals to kids and adults alike. This is the character dining experience with the best breakfast buffet in terms of variety of food options. You're guaranteed to see Mickey Mouse and will likely also see Minnie Mouse, Chip n Dale, and Pluto.

Disneyland Hotel

Downtown Disney

  • Naples Ristorante e Bar – This great Italian restaurant has spaces indoors and outdoors and that are perfect for an entire family to come together for brunch. We love their large outdoor bar that makes the outside seating feel like it is part of the restaurant.

Spring Break at DisneylandImage result for spring disneyland

Spring is a great time to visit Disneyland with the California Adventure Food & Wine Festival taking place, warm but mild weather and plenty of baby ducks waddling around the parks! Spring break season can get busy at the parks but the good news is that Disney properly prepares for peak periods of the years by extending park hours and increasing staffing to handle higher influxes of crowds. This is actually one of the perks of the Disney Park Pass reservation system as it allows Disney to accurately forecast crowd fluctuations and prepare accordingly.

But not to worry, you still have a great day if you follow our Disneyland morning strategy and consider purchasing Genie+ to be a step ahead of the crowds. Spring is a beautiful time to visit the resort with the flowers in full bloom plus an abundance of baby ducks ready to be admired. Nothing says Disney like baby ducks!

You can find more predictions around crowds and what to plan in our April at Disneyland crowd calendar guide.

Easter Characters at DisneylandOswald at Disneyland for Easter

Disney will often give guests the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny himself on Main Street, U.S.A.! You can also try to hunt for other Easter themed characters like the White Rabbit, Thumper, Rabbit (Winnie-the-Pooh), Roger Rabbit, and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit which have all made appearances in past Easter events at Disneyland! You can also expect to see Mickey & Minnie Mouse dressed in their Easter best.

Disneyland Easter SouvenirsMinnie Mouse Floral Headband for Adults – Hydrangea | shopDisney

You can find a small variety of specific Easter at Disneyland souvenirs to take home but the really good finds will be the spring releases you can find at the parks. There's a good chance some of the cute spring items popping up on ShopDisney will also appear in stores like DisneyHome and World of Disney.

You can also expect to see the Summer merchandise begin to arrive which is another fun treat for those that want to have first dibs on must have items.
