Disneyland Sweethearts Nite is a part of the Disneyland After Dark set of events that is returning in 2025. These are special after-hours events that take place at Disneyland after the park closes filled with exclusive park entertainment, characters, and more. Disneyland Sweethearts Nite often takes place around Valentine's Day at Disneyland focusing on well-known Disney couples. You will see characters at these events that you never see during normal park hours!

What to Expect for Disneyland Sweethearts Nite In 2025

Disneyland shared that the event will feature a new cavalcade on Main Street, U.S.A., the return of the Royal Ball, encounters with character couples, and lively music.

Disney has shared descriptions of some of the 2025 Disneyland Sweethearts' Nite entertainment and music you can look forward to during the event:

• Royal Ball: Fantasyland Theater hosts a musical ball where Guests can dance to beautiful music and features a cast that includes ballroom dancers and some of your favorite Disney royal couples.
• Sweethearts’ Nite Royal Cavalcade: To kick off the party, favorite Disney couples appear on a themed float along the parade route, surrounded by dancers. Happening twice a night, this cavalcade begins in Town Square, then heads to Sleeping Beauty Castle and returns to Town Square—boasting a fun, festive and eclectic vibe.
• Live Mariachi: Enjoy traditional Mexican ranchera music, played by a lively ensemble of musicians.
• Mark Twain Moonlit Jazz Cruise: The Mark Twain is transformed into a floating “under the stars” nightclub. Listen to the music of a fabulous jazz quartet as the Twain sails around the Rivers of America.
• Polynesian Live Music: Enjoy an enchanting getaway in the heart of Adventureland. Indulge in a refreshing Dole Whip and be entertained by musicians playing beautiful Polynesian music that creates the ambience of that vibrant culture.
• Tiana’s Palace Jazz Piano: Take in the cool sounds of jazz when a sensational piano player tickles the ivories.
• Character Experiences: Let the lovefest begin—see some of the most darling Disney couples and friends.

When is 2025 Disneyland Sweethearts Nite?

Disneyland Sweethearts' Nite will return on January 21, 23, 28, and February 4, 6, 9, 11, and 13, 2025 at Disneyland Park for a total of 8 nights.

When Do Disneyland Sweethearts' Nite Tickets Go On Sale?

For the 2025 Sweethearts' Nite parties, a select number of pre-sale tickets for Sweethearts’ Nite went on sale for Inspire Magic Key holders starting December 10, 2024, and all Magic Key holders starting December 11, 2024. Tickets went on sale to the general public beginning December 12, 2024. All tickets were on sale no earlier than 9 a.m. PT on Disneyland.com.

For the general tickets release, we recommend having multiple devices ready to click through to purchase tickets and join the queue. You can purchase the tickets directly on this page. We do anticipate that there will be a queue to purchase tickets to these events. Be prepared to have your laptop open and to monitor the queue. Sweethearts Nite is a very popular After Hours events that many people will want to attend. Make sure to be on at or around 9 am so you don't miss out on tickets.

Disneyland Sweethearts Nite 2025 Entertainment

Disneyland has shared some additional details for what you can look forward to for Sweethearts Nite including:

Projections- Throughout the evening guests can look for projections on Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and “it’s a small world.”

Sweethearts’ Cavalcade- Favorite Disney couples will appear along the parade route twice a night in a cavalcade that starts in Town Square, then heads to Sleeping Beauty Castle and returns to Town Square. This cavalcade features some rare character couples like Meg and Hercules and Mulan and Shang!

Royal Ball- A Royal Ball will take place at Fantasyland Theater where you can dance to music and see favorite Disney royal couples.

Our Love Is Out of This World Dance Party- Stitch and Angel will host their very own dance party at the stage in Tomorrowland. Join them throughout the night to dance and sing to some awesome beats!

Unique Photo Ops- Throughout the park, guests can find photo ops to step inside some of Disney’s iconic scenes of love and friendship, including “Lady and the Tramp,” “Tangled,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Aladdin,” and more.

The Lou-Ray Jazz Club- For this fun offering, the Mark Twain is turned into a floating “under the stars” nightclub where you can enjoy music from a jazz quartet while sailing around the Rivers of America.

Mariachi Band- This band will play traditional Mexican ranchera music!

Miss Lily's Revue – featuring some romantic piano tunes when Miss Lily stops by seeking a valentine!

Jazz Piano Player – You can enjoy some jazz piano music during the event!

After our experience at Sweetheart's Nite, we have the best tips and tricks to get the most out of your evening and see all the offerings.

Mobile Order Early

For locations that offer mobile order, place your order as early as 7AM to avoid waiting in long food lines later. This is a great way to guarantee you get all the exclusive snacks. Make sure to select a pickup time of 8PM or later!

Get Food Before Party Starts

We recommend getting 1-2 food items before 8-9PM before the party stats. This way you can use the 4 hours of party time to focus on the special offerings.

Find Free Roaming Characters

Guests can find free roaming characters all around the park (more on this below) and take advantage of them for a quick photo and hello!

Do Not Miss Sweethearts' Cavalcade and Royal Ball!

The absolute two can-not-miss experiences are the Sweethearts' Cavalcade and Royal Ball. Plan to build these two experiences into your evening!

The Royal Ball is a fun and interactive experience! Disney plays love songs and fun upbeat music as the Royal Couples dance.

They will then bring all the guests in to join the dance and dance with them. This unique experience is a must for the night. Plus, Lady Tremaine and the Evil Stepsisters are absolutely hilarious in this!

Low Ride Wait Times

Like most special events, attractions will have extremely low wait times. This is a great chance to enjoy rides with no wait. But this is a tough choice to make as you only have so much time to enjoy the special event.

Magic Key Button Set

There is a commemorative Magic Key 3-button set available while supplies last near the walkway to Galaxy's Edge past Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, if you are a Magic Key holder then don't miss it!

What Does a Disneyland Sweethearts Nite Ticket Include?

A ticket to Sweethearts Nite at Disneyland includes early admission to Disneyland before the party starts. Admission for party guests into the park begins as early as 6 p.m. PT. No park reservations are required! To get the most value out of your event ticket, plan on showing up at the parks at 6 p.m. so you can enjoy Disneyland before the event gets started at 9 p.m. Most Disneyland After Dark events take place until 1 a.m.

A ticket to Disneyland Sweethearts Nite includes a full lineup of exclusive park entertainment that only party guests get to enjoy. Disneyland After Dark events also include unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass Photos for event photos and commemorative keepsakes.

An event ticket also includes full access to the rides in Disneyland. Nearly all the rides in the park are open and often have no wait times. There is so much to do during the Disneyland After Dark events so many guests do not spend time riding attractions which means the rides are nearly all walk-ons.

2025 Sweethearts Nite Characters

For guests who love meeting unique characters, Disneyland Sweethearts Nite will include rare character meet and greets that are unique to the event along with classic favorites.

Below is the list of Sweetheart Nite characters you can expect to see at the event. We had a great experience meeting characters at Sweetheart Nite. In our experience at this event, most lines were extremely short with some having no wait at all and others having a wait of only 15 minutes. This is a great way to meet rare characters!

Royal Ball

The Royal Ball features royal Disney couples like Aurora and Prince Phillip, Jasmine and Aladdin, Ariel and Prince Eric, Princess Tiana and Price Naveen, and more.

You can also meet some of the Royal Ball couples afterward.

Some of the characters we've seen at Sweethearts' Nite in the past include Mary Poppins and Bert, Big Al, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, Ariel and Prince Eric, Belle, The Beast and Gaston, Esmeralda and Phoebus, Flik and Atta, Mulan and Shang, Peter Pan and Wendy, Snow White and The Prince, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen, Chip, Dale and Clarice, Chewbacca and Rey, and Stormtroopers.

Photo Ops

Photo ops are also available throughout the parks so guests can take photos. This scenic picnic photo op is located in Toontown.

You can find a Kiss the Girl scene near Finding Nemo Submarine.

The UP! House is located in Town Square.

Sweethearts Nite Exclusive Park Foods and Dining Packages

Certain dining locations will be open during Disneyland Sweethearts Nite and be offering their regular menu along with event-specific themed food.

We also tried Me and U-Bae Beignets, heart-shaped beignets with Ube powdered sugar and vanilla ube sauce. These were absolutely delicious, not overly sweet and we really enjoyed them. But fair warning, your mouth will be purple!

There are also multiple dining packages you can choose from at locations like Plaza Inn, Carnation Cafe, River Belle Terrace, and Cafe Orleans. Reservations are recommended, but you can also check the day-of for any walk-up availability.
