Welcome back to Mickey Visit Disneyland This Week! Each week at Mickey Visit, we unearth Disneyland news and tips you could easily miss completely. We have all of the essential dates for your visit. This week, we have news about holiday dining bookings, an extremely popular ride reopening, and more.
These news and date updates provide the most important information for your visit every single week, whether you are a frequent visitor or visiting for the first time in years. We cut through the noise to hone in on what dates and news matter for this week. One Big Thing in Disneyland News – Holiday Dining Bookings Open This Week!
The Halloween celebration at Disneyland is in full swing, but the Christmas celebration is already right around the corner! This week, bookings are opening for several holiday dining experiences throughout the Disneyland Resort. These seasonal dining experiences are a super fun way to get into the holiday spirit if you're visiting during Christmas at Disneyland!
Disneyland Ride Closure ALERTS, Major Changes, Secrets Revealed

Booking details have not yet been announced for the Holiday Tea with Santa and Mrs. Claus that was so popular last year. We anticipate this will be returning to Hearthstone Lounge, but last year, bookings didn't open until October 31.
Right now, bookings are already open for Breakfast With Santa at Naples Ristorante e Bar in Downtown Disney. This experience includes a family-style breakfast and hot cocoa, a visit and photo with Santa, a stuffed animal and stocking, take-home treats, carolers, and bottomless mimosas. On Thursday, September 25, bookings open for holiday parade dining packages at Plaza Inn. These dining packages include a holiday-inspired meal and access to a reserved viewing area for the day’s second performance of A Christmas Fantasy Parade.
On October 2, bookings open for the two holiday character dining experiences offered at Storytellers Cafe. At this location, you can enjoy the new Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast, which will be a dinner buffet with character outfits inspired by A Christmas Carol. During the daytime, Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party Breakfast and Brunch will be offered at this location, featuring characters in cozy pajama-inspired outfits. Bookings also open this Thursday on September 25 for Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays. You can choose from a breakfast, brunch, or dinner buffet featuring Disney characters in seasonal attire. The experience includes special seasonal foods, themed decor and music, Disney PhotoPass digital downloads, and a holiday-themed button. You can see all 2025 dates, pricing, and our past review here!
Important Disneyland Dates This Week
- Radiator Springs Racers reopens from its over-month-long closure on Friday, September 26. The ride has been closed since August 18 for an extended refurbishment.
- There are only a few more days left to take advantage of special offers to save on visits to Disneyland, Disney World, and Disney cruises. See all of the details, including a 40% off deal, adults at kids' prices tickets, and more in our separate article here.
- Bookings are currently open for a fall-inspired “Pumpkins & Pancakes” experience offered at Naples Ristorante e Bar! This includes a family-style breakfast with hot cocoa and cider, pumpkin picking and decorating, a photo opportunity, take-home treats, and bottomless mimosas (21+), offered on select dates in October. - This week, there will be an Artist Showcase and Signing with artists from Thomas Kinkade from September 25-28 at Disneyana in Disneyland Park from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Thomas Kinkade artists capture the essence of Disney films through “narrative panoramas” in their detail-packed, dreamlike paintings. During the event, you can meet the artists and check out their artwork.
- Starting Wednesday, September 24, you can catch a Halloween movie under the stars at Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage & Lawn. Movie Nights at Downtown Disney District Presented by M&M’S will take place every Wednesday. Check the Downtown Disney Instagram page to see which movie is playing each week!

- Oogie Boogie Bash will close Disney California Adventure early at 6 pm on Tuesday, September 23, Thursday, September 25, and Sunday, September 28. - An ABC News special commemorating the 7-decade legacy of Disneyland in honor of its 70th anniversary celebration is now streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. You can see all details about the special in our separate article here.
- Wondrous Journeys is returning to Disneyland starting November 1 during the transition from Halloween to the holiday season. Fireworks will run Friday-Sunday, and projections will be shown on the other days.
- We expect Disneyland ticket price increases to be coming soon based on past precedent. Disneyland raises ticket prices every year, and it's important to lock in the lowest rates now before these go into effect. Our travel partner will often get to keep selling discounted tickets at the old prices for a week or so after the increase is announced, but this is not guaranteed, which is why you'll want to buy your tickets now. Disneyland Operational Updates
- Disneyland has shorter hours of operation this week, with Disneyland Park open until 11 PM and Disney California Adventure open until 9 PM (except for Oogie Boogie Bash nights).
- Disney California Adventure will close early at 6 pm on September 23, September 25, and September 28 for Oogie Boogie Bash.
- The Disneyland 70th anniversary show, World of Color: Happiness!, shows once every night at Disney California Adventure, except for Oogie Boogie Bash nights.
- At Disneyland Park, Halloween Screams plays with projections every night and with fireworks on the weekends from Friday-Sunday. Fantasmic! will show twice a night on weekends. Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga will have three showtimes a night until Friday, then will have two showtimes a night through the weekend. Paint the Night runs twice a night.
What We're Thinking About This Week
- Emily is already getting pretty excited about the holidays with all of the dining bookings news! She is also a little tempted to do an impromptu visit to the parks this weekend to check out the Thomas Kinkade artist event.
- Gavin is excited to ride Radiator Springs Racers again at Disney California Adventure now that the ride is reopening. Look for cool Halloween lighting on the mountain peaks behind the ride track for the remainder of the “Haul-O-Ween” celebration in Cars Land.
- Lindsay loves seeing Downtown Disney expand its entertainment offerings! Just another good sign of more improvements to that area of Disneyland.

Disneyland Crowd Calendar This Week
This week, we expect a mix of below-normal and normal crowds at the parks. Crowd levels typically pick up slightly as we get further into the month of September, so we anticipate the parks will start to feel a little bit busier as the week progresses. This is still a generally slower period of time with lower crowds that we consider to be one of the best months to visit Disneyland. Looking ahead to next month, you can expect the parks to be much busier.

New Disneyland Ride Closures This Week
This week, Goofy's Sky School will be closing on September 28, 2025.
Here are some of the current ride closures that are continuing into this week:
- Sailing Ship Columbia is closed for refurbishment (reopening this week!)
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is closed for refurbishment
- Radiator Springs Racers is closed for refurbishment (reopening this week!)
- Casey Jr. Circus Train is closed for refurbishment
- Storybook Land Canal Boats is closed for refurbishment

For any trips before the below dates, you should consider booking park reservations and dining reservations.
- Today is the 60-day window for Disneyland dining reservations for November 21, 2025.
- Today is the 180-day window for making Disneyland theme park reservations for March 21, 2026. This applies to most non-Annual Pass tickets.
- For Magic Key Annual Pass Holders, the 90-day window from today to make theme park reservations is December 21, 2025.

- Today, the Lightning Lane Multi Pass service costs $36 if you purchase it when you arrive.
