There are different blockout dates for the varying Disneyland Magic Key Annual Passes. The highest level pass has the least amount of blockout dates, and the lowest level pass has the most.
There are four Magic Key pass types: the Inspire Key, Believe Key, Enchant Key, and Imagine Key (for Southern California residents only), with varying levels of benefits. Each of these pass types includes a calendar of blockout dates, which are days when the pass type is not valid for park admission and Magic Key holders can’t make or hold any park reservations.

Blockout dates vary per pass type, with the Inspire Key holding the most benefits and the fewest blockout dates during the year. The Imagine Key, which is the most affordable of the four pass types offered to Southern California Residents, has the highest number of blockout dates during the year.

Blockout dates tend to cluster around weekends and peak periods like Spring Break, summer, Halloween, and the holidays towards the end of the year. For the higher-tier Magic Key pass types, you’ll see more limited blockout dates during these periods. For the lower-tier pass types, there are more blockout dates that sometimes stretch across longer periods or entire months.

Blockout Dates Inspire Key 2026
The Disneyland Inspire Key Annual Pass, the highest tier pass with the most benefits, has the fewest blockout dates out of all of the passes. The blockout dates for the Inspire Key will occur at the height of the Christmas season at Disneyland during late December. Last year, the blockout dates ran through New Year’s at Disneyland into the first few days of January, but this does not appear to be the case for 2026 into 2027.
All Disneyland Annual Passes are now blocked out during the final week of December. You can see the 2026 blockout dates for this pass type below, per month:

Believe Key 2026 Blockout Dates
The Believe Key is the second-highest tier Annual Pass and has fewer blockout dates than the Enchant Key and Imagine Key. There are more limited blockout dates each month, with larger stretches of blockout dates clustered around peak seasons like Spring Break in late March and the later months of the year when Halloween at Disneyland and the holidays are taking place. The Believe Key is blocked out for some dates in November, including the days surrounding Thanksgiving. It is also blocked out for over half of December.

Enchant Key 2026 Blockout Dates
The Enchant Key’s blockout dates mostly cluster around Saturdays earlier in the year, with a section of Spring Break (the end of March into early April) blocked off. The Enchant Key has significant blockout dates during the summer, as early June to early August is completely blocked. During busier months like October and November, during Halloween and the holidays, you’ll see more weekends blocked on both Saturday and Sunday. December is blocked from the 16/17th through the end of the month and into the first few days of January.
The Enchant Key will no longer be available for sale or renewal when the new Explore Key launches. If you have an Enchant Key, you’ll be able to keep using your pass until its expiration date.

Explore Key 2026 Blockout Dates
A new pass type called the Explore Key pass will debut in 2026. This is comparable to the current Enchant Key Pass, but it has some different blockout dates, including notably fewer blockout dates during the summer. The blockout dates for this pass type are similar to those of the Enchant Key, but you’ll notice that there are several more dates that are not blocked out during June and July.

Imagine Key 2026 Blockout Dates
The Imagine Key, only available for Southern California residents living in zip codes 90000 to 93599, has the highest number of blockout dates out of the four pass types. The Imagine Key is blocked mostly on weekends, late March into early April, and the majority of summer from late May through mid-August. It is also blocked for stretches of time in October, the last part of November during Thanksgiving week, and the majority of December through early January.
