Disney World’s 2 New Lounges Have Very Different Rules for Getting a Table

Two new lounges are opening this week at Walt Disney World, continuing a trend of relaxing dining spaces at Disney’s theme parks and hotels. This pattern will keep going with another new lounge just announced for summer 2027. Guests interested in dining at the newly opened venues should be aware of their seating processes, as they’re each different and perhaps not what you’d expect.

Disney World’s two new lounges have their own sets of procedures for securing a table. We’ll break down how to score a spot at each dining location individually below. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including changes to one of Disney’s original cruise ships and new Hallmark Disney ornaments.

How to Visit New Lounge at Disney’s BoardWalk

We’ve got 2 new lounges to take a look at. First, let’s cover Hurly-Burly, which opened at Disney’s BoardWalk on October 1, 2026.

Themed as a century-old theater being revived for new business, Hurly-Burly hosts family-friendly games like trivia and bingo from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The lounge switches to an adults-only space, with only guests ages 21+ allowed, starting at 9:00 PM, with live music that changes genres depending on the night.

Hurly-Burly strays from the norm of Disney World dining procedures. At most Disney World table service restaurants, guests need to make a reservation, which opens 60 days in advance. At quick service restaurants, guests can casually arrive whenever they please, and reservations are not implemented. Hurly-Burly operates as neither a table service nor a quick service restaurant.

To visit Hurly-Burly, guests must join a virtual waitlist. This is similar to the process in place for Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Hurly-Burly does not use the same advanced dining system as most Disney restaurants, nor does it allow walk-up availability for guests who have not joined the virtual waitlist.

Guests can join the Hurly-Burly waitlist using 1 of 2 methods. Both utilize the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit, and you must be in close proximity to Hurly-Burly.

My Disney Experience app reservation interface

Method 1:

  1. Open the My Disney Experience app
  2. Tap the location pin at the bottom of the screen
  3. Navigate the map to Disney’s BoardWalk
  4. Locate Hurly-Burly and tap on its name
  5. On the pop-up window, tap “Join Walk-Up Wait List”

Method 2:

  1. Open the My Disney Experience app
  2. Tap the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen to open a search
  3. Type “Hurly-Burly” and select the top result
  4. On the following screen, tap “Join Walk-Up List”

Guests must be physically near Hurly-Burly to join the waitlist. We’re not sure of the exact radius that Disney permits, but don’t plan on being able to claim your spot on the waitlist until you’re nearby.

The good news is that there is plenty to do around Disney’s BoardWalk to entertain yourself while you wait for your turn.

To prepare for Hurly-Burly’s arrival, Jellyrolls closed in 2025, and Atlantic Dance Hall closed in September 2026. Jellyrolls is opening a new location 10 minutes from Disney World.

How to Visit New Lounge at Magic Kingdom

Diamond Horseshoe western-style building exterior

The Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up, also called The Diamond Horseshoe Lounge and The Diamond Horseshoe – Limited-Time Offering, will open at Magic Kingdom on October 4, 2026. This is the saloon-style venue that was most recently home to Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue! over the summer and a table service restaurant before that.

The new menu here will feature small plates like sweet golden corn fritters and drinks like a whiskey lemonade. See the full Diamond Horseshoe menu.

Despite being a “lounge” rather than a full restaurant, The Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up will utilize advanced dining reservations that follow the same procedure as Disney World’s table service restaurants. Guests can make reservations for The Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up as far ahead as 60 days in advance of their visit in the My Disney Experience app or on DisneyWorld.com.

Reservation calendar

As is to be expected from a new Disney World dining location, The Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up is already proving to be popular before it even opens. Glancing at availability today, October 2, there are currently only reservations available for November 24, 25, and 29.

If the date you want isn’t available, keep checking back, as openings are always possible.

As always, guests staying overnight at a Disney World hotel have a slight advantage over other guests for securing dining reservations. Hotel guests can make dining reservations for their entire trip, 60 days in advance of their check-in date. This means that hotel guests can make a dining reservation for Day 5 of their vacation 4 days before other guests, for example.

The Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up will only be in place for a limited time, but Disney hasn’t announced how long that will be. It will at least be open through December 1, the 60-days-out date from the time of this writing.

Magic Kingdom opened another lounge, The Beak & Barrel, last year. It too follows the 60-days-out-for-reservations rule. See our review of this Pirates of the Caribbean dining location.
