There’s almost always a special event happening at Walt Disney World, and in recent years, the resort’s Halloween festivities have begun while it’s still summertime for the rest of the world. This includes Magic Kingdom‘s signature Halloween event.

Disney just announced the 2026 season of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will begin on August 7. This marks the earliest the event has ever begun.
There will be a total of 38 party nights this year.
Here’s the full list of dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026:
- August 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, and 30, 2026
- September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, and 29, 2026
- October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, and 31, 2026
Ticket sales will launch on May 5 for guests staying at Disney World hotels and on May 12 for all other guests.
Disney says ticket prices will vary by date, but hasn’t shared the pricing calendar yet. Tickets will cost between $119 and $229, the same as 2025 prices. I’m pleasantly surprised not to see a price increase, as 2025 raised 2024’s highest-priced ticket by $30.
Walt Disney World annual passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can save $10 per ticket on party dates from August 7 through October 2, 2026.
Disney has effectively expanded what was once a one-night event in 1995, on Halloween night itself, into an enterprise that commands nearly 25% of the year. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party gradually stretched its season over time, first creeping into September dates in 2005 and inching into August for the first time in 2017.
What’s New for 2026 at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Most of the main entertainment at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will remain the same for 2026. This includes Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade.
The themed overlays of Space Mountain in complete darkness and Mad Tea Party with special lighting will both return for 2026.

New for 2026’s event is a dance party in Tomorrowland featuring Stitch, Lilo, and Angel, aka Experiment 624! This marks Angel’s Not-So-Scary debut. As Stitch retrieves various costumes from a trunk, the dance party’s genre will change.

Also new in 2026, Disney will add more characters, including Disney Villains, to the trick-or-treat trails throughout the park. Disney quietly tested this last year, with some characters appearing as surprises on a few treat trails, but not advertised with set schedules. I’m curious to see if this approach will be more formalized for 2026 parties.
As its name indicates, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is family-friendly. Those who seek a more frightening Orlando theme park experience should visit Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of Walt Disney World’s only Halloween offerings. This contrasts with Disneyland in California, which rolls out an entire season of festivities, Halloween Time, spanning both of its two theme parks and included with daily admission. Disney California Adventure also hosts the after-hours Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party.
Seasonal Events Coming Up at Disney World
The Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party season on select nights from August 7 through October 31 is among a packed calendar of 2026 special events at Walt Disney World.
Now through June 1 is the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, featuring Disney character topiaries and special concerts.
Select nights through September 24, Disney After Hours events will take place at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.
May 1 – July 31 is V.I.Passholder Summer Days, a season of exclusive perks and discounts for annual passholders.
May 26 – September 8 is Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, when Disney will open new attractions and roll out resort benefits for families with young children.
2026 dates for other events returning later this year, including the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Disney Jollywood Nights, have not yet been announced.
