Walt Disney Studios Park Will Be Changing Its Name
Right now, the name “Walt Disney Studios Park” reflects the park's emphasis on the magic of movie-making, but as the park evolves, the emphasis will be shifting to the “world of adventure” inspired by favorite Disney stories that guests can immerse themselves in. The park will be renamed “Disney Adventure World” when the upcoming World of Frozen comes to life.
The park has recently opened new themed areas for guests like Worlds of Pixar and Marvel Avengers Campus, and several new offerings are coming in the future.
The transformation of the park will feature a reimagined park entrance. The new entrance sequence opening in spring of 2025 will feature an open-air movie studio, “World Premiere,” and then welcome guests to a glamorous movie premiere in Hollywood.
Replacing the current soundstage decor will be “all-new pieces paying homage to historic movie theaters.” Outside, guests will arrive at World Premiere Plaza, the new Art Deco-inspired theatre district that is currently celebrating Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios.
World of Frozen will be located along Adventure Bay, which will have an entertainment stage with a 360-degree viewing area, featuring fountains, music, lights, and special effects, utilizing the latest technologies for water-based entertainment.
Another exciting new element of the expansion is the new promenade called Adventure Way, where a new Tangled-inspired attraction called Raiponce Tangled Spin will be located that will take guests on a spin through the floating lanterns scene.
The new Regal View Restaurant and Lounge will be a table service restaurant offering views of Adventure Bay and the opportunity to meet Disney Princesses.
Disney originally announced that there would also be a new immersive world coming to the park with its concept and design being finalized by Imagineers. The announcement teed up the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California to share big details about future expansions for Disneyland Paris and the Disney Parks around the world, and it was revealed that there will be a Lion King-themed area of the park with a new ride!
