Excitement is building surrounding Disney's newest Cruise Line ship, the Disney Destiny, as Disney just shared some new clues about what we can expect! Disney is gearing up to share big news about the Disney Destiny next week during three days of announcements from July 30 through August 1.
The theme of the ship was previously revealed to be “Heroes and Villains,” with favorite characters from stories like “The Lion King,” “Hercules” and “One Hundred and One Dalmatians” featured. You can see everything you need to know about the Disney Destiny in our guide to the new cruise ship here.
A teaser video on YouTube released by Disney Parks revealed some of the stories we could see featured on the ship showing icons on the stateroom doors, including the Haunted Mansion, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Edna Mode from The Incredibles. Now, we have even more details as Disney has shared a promotional box in the mail with some additional hints for what we can expect on the Disney Destiny. Keep reading for more details!

On the inside of the box, there is text with the definition of “destiny” and a description of the newest ship's theme: “Myths and legends, fairy tales and fantasies—the Disney Destiny will draw on the timeless tales of heroes and villains to introduce brand-new experiences that celebrate the legacies and larger-than-life characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and beyond.”
The text invites you to look behind the various portholes in the package to unearth more surprises.
The box included a comic book customized with a picture of Mickey Visit's founder Gavin alongside several iconic heroes and villains from various Disney stories including Simba and Scar, Hercules and Hades, Minnie, Iron Man and Black Panther, Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, and Edna Mode.

Behind the various port holes are patches representing different Disney movies. These include various icons of characters and stories including the Haunted Mansion, Black Panther, Wreck-It Ralph, The Incredibles, The Lion King, and Loki. There were also patches of Minnie in heroic attire (who is featured in the filigree artwork), Mickey in captain's attire, and the Disney Destiny logo in the box.
One of the most notable patches here is the Haunted Mansion one. We mused earlier that the Haunted Mansion bar debuting on the Disney Treasure is bound to be immensely popular, so it would make sense to feature it on the new Disney Destiny as well. The multiple references to Marvel and The Incredibles also indicate that these stories will be a major presence on the ship. It was recently announced that two Marvel dinner shows will be coming to the Disney Treasure, including the new “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix” featuring Rocket and baby Groot.
The patches were sent out randomly, so you can see the entire assortment as shared by Scott Gustin on X below. Some of the other patches include references to Spider-Man, Pirates of the Caribbean, Olaf from Frozen, Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, Cruella de Vil, Pain and Panic from Hercules, the Stark Industries icon, and Doctor Strange. It will be particularly interesting to see how Pirates of the Caribbean takes shape on the Disney Destiny—the Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge coming to Magic Kingdom is an exciting concept with lots of potential.
We're looking forward to the announcements that will be shared next week for the Disney Destiny! The “Heroes and Villains” theme is really promising, so it will be exciting to how it all takes shape!
