Best Ranked Disney World Restaurants on the Skyliner Route

Do you know about all of these great restaurant options along Disney's Skyliner route?

Since it opened in 2019, the Disney Skyliner gave Disney World guests a 4th free transportation option. It's been a welcome addition and has quickly become one of my favorite transportation options when traveling around the Disney World Resort. But the Disney Skyliner isn't just for getting from your hotel to the theme parks.

There's a number of restaurant options along the Disney Skyliner route that offer great food and drink options. In fact, some of them rank among the best restaurants in all of Disney World. But which restaurants rank the best among the Skyliner Route hotels? We go to Disney World regularly and learned from experience which restaurants are the ones are the ones you must visit. Read on for our list of top restaurants along the Disney Skyliner route.

Which Hotels are Along the Skyliner Route?

Disney Skyliner

The Disney Skyliner has stations at 4 different Disney World resorts.

The hotels along the Skyliner Route are convenient resort options because of 2 reasons.

First, they give direct access to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. With virtually continuous service to and from these theme parks, you likely won't wait as long to snag a Skyliner gondola to arrive at your destination. The 4 Disney World resort hotels along the Skyliner Route are:

The second reason for these hotels' convenience is their direct access to each other.

Especially useful for guests that want to stretch their budget at Disney World, you're able to stay at a Value Resort (like Art of Animation Resort) and take the Skyliner to Disney's Riviera Resort, a Deluxe Resort. You get direct access to its signature dining option, Topolino's Terrace.

For those who like to enjoy an adult beverage, you also get direct access to the different bars and lounges at each of these hotels. With some of these hotels containing several bar and lounge options, you have plenty of options to “bar hop”!

The 4 hotels along the Skyliner route are great choices that give you incredible value.

Landscape of Flavors

Art of Animation

Location: Disney's Art of Animation Resort

You shouldn't be surprised at what value you can find at a Value resort at Disney World.

Landscape of Flavors is the quick service food court at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. And while the food at Disney's Moderate and Deluxe resorts tend to be of higher quality, you still get a variety of flavor at a great value. Where else can you find a Tandoori/Mongolian food station at a modestly-priced resort?

It's easy to say that the environment at Landscape of Flavors is cavernous and loud – after all, it is a food court. However, the theming is still fun and whimsical, with 4 sections representing 4 movies at the resort. All around you are background landscapes from each film on the walls and light fixtures. It blends well with the incredibly detailed animation-style theming of the lobby.

With its unique variety of food options and signature Disney theming, Landscape of Flavors isn't a quick service restaurant you should pass up.

Sebastian's Bistro

Caribbean beach resort

Location: Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

The dining at Caribbean Beach Resort may be slightly overshadowed by the dining options at the Riviera Resort.

However, Sebastian's Bistro is a sleeper table-service restaurant – you cannot miss out on this one.

Located on the waters of Disney's Caribbean Beach, Sebastian's Bistro offers great tasting food options. Its Taste of the Caribbean comes with oven-roasted chicken with tamarind barbecue, slow-cooked mojo pork with mango sambal, chili-rubbed beef with roasted red pepper chimichurri, and baked fish with citrus butter.

Just reading this while typing made my mouth water!

Yet surprisingly, the cost of a meal here is much more reasonable than other table service restaurants. Right now, dining here is almost thirty dollars cheaper than dining at ‘Ohana for dinner. What a deal.

And its lake front location along with underwater theming, dining here almost feels like you're dining at Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian. In fact, the first time I stepped inside Sebastian's Bistro, I immediately felt the vibes of Narcoossee's. It's that well themed.

Come visit Sebastian's Bistro for the value, stay for the food, ambience, and beautiful views.

Primo Piatto

Primo Piatto

Location: Disney's Riviera Resort

Every time I visit the Riviera Resort, I forget that it has a quick service restaurant on its first floor.

And every time I leave forgetting about this, I kick myself for missing out on this great restaurant.

When it comes to quick service, Primo Piatto is a major step up from quick service restaurants at any of Disney's Moderate and Value Resorts. First, its theming is more elegant – yet it's still subdued to where it isn't along the lines of a table service restaurant. It very much feels like you're stepping into a café along the Riviera promenade. And the numerous photos on the wall of Walt Disney and his wife Lilian on their European travels makes for a beautiful touch!

Second, the food here is simply delicious – for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast menu offers several breakfast sandwiches (the croque madame is my favorite), entrées (such as a breakfast pizza), and more. The dinner menu offers a variety of entrées, sandwiches (the grilled chicken sandwich is my favorite), hearth baked pizzas, salads, and grab-and-go foods. You virtually cannot go wrong!

I'll admit though, dining here during typical meal times can be stressful. It gets busy and loud. If you want to get food from here, I highly suggest dining outside of typical meal times. Otherwise, you can mobile order your food and taking it outside to eat along the lake.

Primo Piatto could seriously be one of my favorite quick service restaurants at a Disney World Resort.

Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera

Topolino’s Terrace

Location: Disney's Riviera Resort

I couldn't help but save the best Skyliner restaurant for last.

Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera is the Riviera Resort's signature service dining option. With steak, lamb, seafood, pasta, and plant-based options, you have plenty to choose from to suit your personal palette. Topolino’s Terrace also features one of my absolute favorite character dining experiences for breakfast which is a completely separate dining menu from the dinner menu.

Since Primo Piatto translates to “first course,” Topolino's Terrace must be the next step to your dining experience at the Riviera.

Named after the Italian name for Mickey Mouse, Topolino's Terrace has plenty of subtle but tasteful nods to Mickey. It also has theming that pays homage to the French-Italian Riviera. Its colors are warm and its 3 walls of windows make for a very open and embracing atmosphere.

I also can't fail to mention that Topolino's Terrace is on the top floor of the Riviera Resort, giving you spectacular views of Orlando and Walt Disney World. You can enjoy the sunset while dining or take a step outside with a drink to soak in the welcoming breeze. And when the time comes, you can enjoy the nighttime spectacular at EPCOT.

For breakfast, choose from a long list of great entrées (my favorite is the eggs benedict florentine) to follow up your appetizers of fresh pastries and bread. For dinner, take your pick from a long list of exquisite entrées (my favorite is the classic sole meuniére) to pair with a glass of wine.

Topolino's Terrace is easily one of my favorite signature service restaurants.

Where Should You go First?

Skyliner

Unlike our top restaurants along the Monorail route, my first recommendation isn't very fair.

But I'm going to say it anyways: you must visit Topolino's Terrace at the Riviera Resort. Not only does it give you magnificent views of Disney World from the top of the resort, it offers an incredible menu of food – for both breakfast and dinner. I could could repeatedly go here and never get bored of the theming, view, or food and drink.

However, I can't count out Sebastian's Bistro at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Much like how Kona Cafe is the “sleeper” restaurant next to ‘Ohana, Sebastian's Bistro is the “sleeper” restaurant next to Topolino's Terrace. And for the price, you're arguably getting the best bang for your buck for a table service restaurant!

And finally, for quick service food, we're going back to the Riviera Resort and Primo Piatto. Every time I visit, I'm always pleasantly surprised by the food here. I simply don't go here enough.

So knowing this, where are you going next?
