7 Ways You Should be Using AirTags On Your Disney Vacation

A Disney vacation is filled with so many exciting things to do and a fair amount of moving around to do them—between navigating the resort, travel and transportation, and enjoying the theme park attractions, you'll be covering a lot of ground during your trip. While there is much fun to be had at Disney, there is also the potential to accidentally lose or forget something along the way. From forgetting where you parked your car to losing your keys, these things can cause some unwanted complications that disrupt the Disney magic.

Thankfully, AirTags can be a solution that can be used for many aspects of your Disney vacation. As a precautionary measure, you can use AirTags for anything you could potentially lose, and this will help give you peace of mind and find these things if needed. AirTags work by sending out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by your device, and you'll be able to see its location on a map in the Find My app.

There are many different ways you can use AirTags (or Eufy tracking tag alternative) on your Disney vacation, and we will cover some of our recommendations below! See best prices on AirTags here and best prices on Eufy trackers here.

1. Tracking Luggage

Disney trip airport

One of the best uses for AirTags during your Disney vacation is for tracking luggage if you are flying in from out of the area. It can be a huge nightmare when luggage gets lost with crucial items that you've packed for your trip (see the key items you'll want to bring for your vacation in our Disneyland packing list and Disney World packing list).

Having an AirTag on your luggage allows you to keep an eye on it to make sure it's going where it's supposed to. You'll be able to glance at the map and have the peace of mind that your luggage is traveling with you on the plane and has arrived safely at your destination with you. In the event that your luggage does get lost, you can use the Find My app to see the AirTag's location and track it down.

2. Tracking Rental Car

Some guests may choose to utilize a rental car during their Disney vacation to get to and from the parks, and this option is especially appealing for Disney World transportation as it allows for the most flexibility and comfort while navigating the expansive resort.

One thing that you'll need to keep track of with a rental car, however, is where you've parked your car. It can be easy to forget where you parked your rental car in Disney's vast parking lots and garages, so it's a good idea to have an AirTag in your car to make sure you can get back to it. See everything you need to know about the parking options at Disneyland and parking options at Disney World in our guides.

3. Tracking Lost Stroller

Another use for AirTags during your Disney vacation is tracking your child's stroller. Unfortunately, strollers are sometimes stolen in the parks, and this is a measure you can take so that you're able to locate it if this does happen. You'll first be able to look at the AirTag's location on the map to see if the stroller was in fact stolen or just slightly moved (sometimes Cast Members will move them around to make more space, so it might not be right in the exact spot where you left it).

If your stroller was stolen, you can use the AirTag to see where it is and locate it. To be safe, don't leave any valuables or souvenirs in your stroller that could get taken—it's a better idea to store these in a locker. You can see everything you need to know about strollers at Disneyland and strollers at Disney World in our guides for more tips.

4. Tracking Children in Case of Wandering

While this use for an AirTag is not to track an item like for the rest of the ideas on this list, you could use an AirTag for your child if you are worried about them wandering off and getting lost in the crowds. You could attach an AirTag to your child's clothing to make sure that just in case they get separated from you, you'll be able to see the AirTag's location on the map and find them.

If your child is old enough to understand and remember this, we also recommend establishing an “emergency meeting place” that you walk them to at the beginning of the day and introducing them to a Cast Member so that they know their badge and to go to them for help if they get separated from you. These are some more measures you can take to prevent your child from getting lost at Disneyland or lost at Disney World, but an AirTag on their clothes is an extra step you can take to make sure you can locate them if they do wander off.

5. Tracking Your Child's Favorite Toy

Disney stuffed animals

AirTags can be used to track anything you don't want to lose, and your child's favorite toy definitely falls into that category! I've seen several stories about a child's favorite toy getting lost in the parks and how devastating it can be for them. Often, parents will try their best to talk their child out of bringing the toy so it doesn't get lost, but this is much easier said than done. It's unfortunately so easy for a toy to slip out of a stroller or be put down somewhere without parents noticing when you are moving from place to place.

A child losing a favorite stuffed animal or toy at Disney can be an extremely upsetting situation for them, so this is where an AirTag can come in handy. If you know your child is really attached to a certain toy and bringing it is non-negotiable, you can take the precautionary measure of attaching an AirTag to the toy in case it gets lost so that you can locate it.

6. Tracking Keys

AirTags are great for tracking smaller items that you can easily lose or misplace during your Disney vacation, like your keys. If you are worried about the possibility of losing your keys, you can attach an AirTag to them for peace of mind.

There are several options out there that you can choose from for AirTag holders with a key ring. If you do end up losing your keys, AirTags have a feature called Precision Finding, which gives you directions to help you narrow down their precise location if you are nearby.

7. Tracking Park Bag or Wallet

You can also put an AirTag in your park bag or attach it to your wallet, as these are two things you will not want to lose during your Disney trip. While it might not seem likely that you will forget your bag, it can happen if you are sitting down at a restaurant or stowing it on a ride and forget to pick it up when you leave.

On a similar note, it's easy to take your wallet out to pay for something, set it down, and forget to pick it up and put it back in your pocket or bag. Just to be safe when it comes to these essential items, it's a smart idea to use an AirTag for them so that you can locate them in case you leave them behind. When rushing to your next stop and covering lots of ground at the parks, you could become distracted and leave behind crucial things that you might not normally forget.

Nobody wants to deal with losing something important during their Disney vacation, and AirTags can be a convenient way to keep track of everything and give you peace of mind. For more of our best Disney tips, see our guide to 50 Disneyland tips and 50 Disney World tips.
