Soarin’ Over California Returning to California Adventure for Limited Time in 2025

The fan-favorite Soarin' Over California will be returning to Disney's California adventure in 2025 for a limited run to celebrate the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.

This version of Soarin' was the original one to debut in California Adventure and features the ever so famous orange grove scents along with other classic California views and smells.

This version is often ranked as ‘the best' one by many locals and it's hard to disagree! Keep reading to see what date you need to mark on your calendar so you don't miss this limited run!

Soarin' Over California Returning in 2025!

Food & Wine Festival at Disney's California Adventure will run from February 28, 2025 through April 21, 2025. Disney has shared that Soarin' Over California will return during the duration of the festival.

Last year on the first day of the return of the attraction they handed out cuties as a celebration of the return of the orange scent that the ride brings. This was a very fun moment that was a nice reward for rope dropping the attraction on the very first day. You can see the Instagram reel that we captured during that day below.

This version of Soarin' is always extremely popular with park guests and you can expect to see that reflected in the wait times for the attraction. If you're following our morning strategy for California Adventure, you can beat the lines and head straight to the attraction! We love Soarin' Over California and even though you can start to see the age of the film, this is still a favorite.

Another great thing about Soarin' is there is usually often Lightning Lane options available throughout the day so you can grab a Lightning Lane reservation if you're planning on using it during your visit!

Soarin' Over California was replaced with a world centered theme in 2016 featuring worldwide landmarks like the Great Wall of China or the plains of Africa while Soarin' Over California emphasizes famous California landmarks like Redwood Creek and the Golden Gate bridge.

This isn't the first time Disney has offered limited time runs of Soarin' Over California, in the past it's been offered as a limited run with additional perks for Magic Key holders to enjoy the attraction after park closing.
