Tangled is one of the most popular Disney animated films and Disney fans have been asking for more Tangled Disney theme park experiences for quite some time. I recently experienced the full scope of what a Disney Rapunzel restaurant looks like and it was easily one of the best themed Disney dining.
The only official Tangled ride is available in Tokyo DisneySea which is a part of a larger land called Fantasy Springs which includes Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan. But there are plenty of other Tangled offerings spread out amongst the different Disney parks and experiences including the Disney Cruise Line.
I recently enjoyed one of the BEST Disney dinner shows all focused on the Tangled film. As a huge Tangled fan, this restaurant was a fantastic experience and I wish we could have something similar to this in the Disney theme parks! Keep reading to see why I think this Tangled themed dinner show easily outranks any of the themed Disney dining in the theme parks.
Where is the Disney Rapunzel Dinner Show?
The most well-known Disney Tangled themed restaurant is located on the Disney Magic cruise line ship. The Disney Magic is the original ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet including both a Tangled restaurant and the Tangled Broadway style show.

There is also a Tangled themed restaurant located in Tokyo Disney in the new Tangled theme land. However, while the theming of that land is top notch, the restaurant there is not quite as elegant nor as entertaining as Rapunzel’s Royal Table on the Disney Magic.
Rapunzel’s Royal Table Provides the Best Tangled Entertainment
Rapunzel’s Royal Table on the Disney Magic is one of the three rotational dinner options. Disney Cruise Line uses a rotational dining system so that way guests can enjoy each restaurant at least once on their cruise.
Rapunzel’s Royal Table is a fine dining option, like all the dinner restaurants on the Disney Cruise Line, but it also comes with Tangled themed entertainment during the entire dinner. This is one of the best dinner options on the Disney Cruise Line when it comes to merging fine dining with Disney theming!
When you arrive at the restaurant you’ll immediately be greeted by some of the ruffians from the film. These guys were so fun and they will continue to run around the restaurant the entire meal.
There are musicians playing as you get seated and enjoy the starter courses of your meal. Disney gives everyone time to get situated before bringing out the main show.
Rapunzel will come out on the stage and tell everyone the reason for their gathering is to celebrate her birthday and tell some of the stories that coordinate with the Tangled film.
This show is a must for all Tangled fans! The entertainment during the show features a combination of songs from the film sung by Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and the Snuggling Duckling Thugs.

But the best part of the evening was Rapunzel and Flynn Rider singing the fan favorite song from the film “I See the Light.” During the song, all of the cast members began walking through the restaurant holding up the Tangled lanterns.
After the show, Flynn Rider and Rapunzel led guests through the restaurant in a dance which was a cute way to interact with all the Tangled characters.
There were also moments throughout the evening to meet Rapunzel and take a picture with her.
Amazing Frying Pan Rapunzel Dessert
Of course, there is a themed dessert option featuring Rapunzel’s signature frying pan. Rapunzel’s Fry Pan Sweet Bread comes served in a miniature frying pan. This dessert is fry bread dusted with powdered sugar with chocolate hazelnut.
One of the best parts of a Disney Cruise Line experience is the inclusive dining which means you can have as much dessert as you want!
We Need More Tangled in the Theme Parks
Rapunzel’s Royal Table was one of the most high energy and enjoyable Disney dining experiences I have ever participated in. This type of experience would be fantastic at Walt Disney World or Disneyland. This was far more than a character dining experience but a full dinner show! With the expansion of DisneylandForward approved, I would love to see a Disney Rapunzel restaurant come to Disneyland!
Disney Cruise Line excels when it comes to their Broadway-caliber shows and this element of talent carried over into the Rapunzel’s Royal Table experience.
