Disneyland has been expanding and changing the restaurant options across the resort. It's one reason that our best restaurants at Disneyland list is so helpful. We keep it up to date with the latest offerings that we've tried that deserve your attention.
From new themed offerings like San Fransokyo Square and Tiana's Palace to more upscale dining like Paseo and Centrico in Downtown Disney, these changes have remained a key focus.
In particular, the expansion of Downtown Disney has been on of Disneyland's key focuses over the last year. Now, one of the biggest spaces at the far end of Downtown Disney is open with four brand new restaurants.

New Disneyland Downtown Disney Restaurants Now Open
The far end of Downtown Disney that was previously home to the Earl of Sandwich and AMC Theaters has been completely renovated.
There is now a new security entrance, Din Tai Fung Restaurant, two new stores including one dedicated to Disney Adult favorite merchandise and one themed to Marvel. All of this and a new stage has a very relaxed Palm Springs vibe.
Now, the last major piece of this courtyard area is complete. The Parkside Market has come along very quickly this year and over the past month it has looked very close to being complete. The four new restaurants have now soft opened.
Next up is a renovation to add new offerings to the shuttered ESPN Zone space just across from this courtyard. We will be watching closely for announcements in that area in the coming weeks and months.
They got the new Parkside Restaurant space open at the very tail end of the busy holiday season and just as Magic Key Annual Passholder blockout dates lifted.
Here's a look at the exterior of the building. Looking at the space, it almost feels like a student union building or dining hall space you would see on a college campus. There's a large central food court downstairs and the bigger restaurant space upstairs.
The new restaurants now open in this space are:
Sip & Sonder – serving lattes, fresh treats, frozen drinks and delicious small bites
Seoul Sister – a fast-casual modern eatery serving Korean-style rice bowls
GG’s Chicken Shop – serving chicken sandwiches, salads and classic dinner table sides
Vista Parkside Market – second story bar offering great views of the district, signature craft cocktails and mocktails
So far we have heard that the GG's Chicken Shop is the top favorite. The second story bar with the overlook is also a lot of fun to look out at the crowds below and out towards the fireworks on nights when they are running.
You can also choose to order your food from any of the downstairs restaurants at the upstairs Vista Parkside Market while sitting. This will be a great way to enjoy this food without the rush if you want to have a more leisurely experience here. Very easy to then enjoy a cocktail and your food.
We'll be here soon to enjoy the full slate of food offerings to bring you our take on the best new offering available.
Here are some press photos that Disney released ahead of the opening. Below is a shot of the upstairs bar interior.
Next is a look at the new Chicken Shop stand.
Next is a closer look at the inside window of Sip and Sonder. This will be a great additional option for coffee in the morning in Downtown Disney. I'm surprised that this didn't become another Starbucks location at the resort as there was one at this end of Downtown Disney previously.
Here's a wider look at the shared dining space in the downstairs and the Seoul Sister restaurant.
Here is the upstairs bar area. You can see the Disneyland Monorail station out the far windows. That will be fun to sit and watch go by.
We're always excited when dining options come to Disneyland, but these in particular look like they will be nice additions to spread out the crowds in Downtown Disney.
This is just another way that Disneyland is working to make Downtown Disney a destination on its own.
