Disneyland Shares Opening Period & New Details for 3 Highly-Anticipated Restaurants in Downtown Disney
Downtown Disney at Disneyland is in the midst of an exciting reimagining that will introduce new dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences to the area.
Most recently, Disney announced a few new restaurants being added to Downtown Disney and shared that Earl of Sandwich will have a temporary pop-up location added this winter.
Now, Disney has shared the opening period for three highly anticipated dining locations! Keep reading for news on what Disney has shared about their opening and more details on what to expect when they start welcoming guests.
New Downtown Disney Restaurants Coming Soon
Downtown Disney continues to bring in more new dining experiences, with the addition of three new restaurants coming soon!
Paseo and Céntrico will serve Mexican cuisine by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán in the space formerly occupied by Catal and Uva Bar. The dining experience will “offer guests a multi-sensory journey to the heart of Chef Gaytan’s homeland.”
Din Tai Fung, the world-famous Chinese restaurant that originated in Taiwan that's known for its soup dumplings and noodles, will also be coming to Downtown Disney. This is personally one of my favorite restaurants, offering menu items like the signature Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao that offers an incredible burst of flavor, Cucumber Salad, Pork Chop Fried Rice, and much more, along with top-tier service.
I have never tasted anything from Din Tai Fung that I haven't loved, and I believe this will be an extremely popular destination when it opens and easily one of the best Downtown Disney restaurants.
Downtown Disney Restaurants Opening Period Announced
Disney has shared that these three restaurants will be opening in 2024! Disney has not specified an exact opening date, but we know that progress is being made on these dining locations and we can expect them in the near future. The restaurants and boutiques in the area will also continue to offer new menu items and merchandise as the evolution of Downtown Disney continues.
We are still waiting on more news about Porto's Bakery in Downtown Disney but for now will just have to be excited about the glimmer of news that we got with Earl of Sandwich moving and the shuffle that will cause to get Porto's into their spot.
