Last summer, one of the top Anaheim hotels within walking distance of Disneyland began a property-wide multi-hundred-million-dollar renovation, which is a first for the hotel since its original opening in 1984. This hotel with upscale amenities is a great option for families visiting Disneyland and business travelers, located right next to the Anaheim Convention Center at about a 15-minute walk from Disneyland.
This major renovation of the hotel impacts all areas of the property, including its rooms, restaurants, meeting spaces, pool area, and more. We recently visited the Hilton Anaheim and got a glimpse of its progress, including its newly redone lobby bar. Keep reading for photos and more details!

This hotel is often our home base for the D23 Expo which happens every other year in Anaheim so we are thrilled to see this big renovation.
Here is a look at the lobby bar, now called Poppy's Lounge! This received an overhaul, and the space looks very elegant.
It appeared that work was reaching its final stages when we stopped by. The new Poppy name will also include the lobby restaurant. That restaurant, previously called MIX, should open in late July or early August.
This restaurant is home to one of our favorite breakfasts near Disneyland. You can read more about it in our review of the Hilton Anaheim.
There is also a brand new marketplace called Hansens at the hotel, which you can see below. Hansen’s Market is named after Anaheim’s founding father, George Hansen. The market offers guests a grab-and-go experience with a selection of fresh meals, snacks, and beverages.
Right now, the guest rooms are in the final stretch of completion. Check out one of the renovated Corner King rooms below!
