Fans were extremely disappointed by the loss of the Choco Taco when it was discontinued by Klondike in 2022, but the favorite ice cream company Salt & Straw is bringing back the beloved treat. We are big fans of Salt & Straw and enjoy their classics as well as their menu of rotating flavors each month (see our guide to Salt & Straw flavors at Disneyland which we update monthly)!
We think Salt & Straw is one of the best places to get ice cream at Disneyland due to their unique flavors, so we are excited to see that they will be bringing back the Choco Taco and putting their unique spin on it.

New Salt & Straw Choco Taco
Salt & Straw shared on Instagram that their Ice Cream Chocolate Tacos would be returning in collaboration with Taco Bell. The Ice Cream Chocolate Tacos will feature “hand pressed waffle cones” and “freshmade cinnamon ancho ice cream dipped in single origin chocolate,” and they will be “studded with toasted brown rice.” The Ice Cream Chocolate Tacos will be served with three custom sauce packets and a tangy cheesecake dip.

Salt & Straw mentioned in the caption that the chocolate tacos would be “coming this summer to all scoop shops and online for nationwide shipping.” In addition to locations in seven cities around the US, there are two Salt & Straw locations at Disney resorts, one in the Downtown Disney area of the Disneyland Resort in California and one in the Disney Springs area of Walt Disney World in Florida, so we're looking forward to seeing if the new Choco Tacos appear there. These look super delicious and would be a great addition!
