Rainforest Café Dining Review- Enjoy Themed Dining Kids Will Love in Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs

The Rainforest Café has two locations in Disney World: outside the entrance of Animal Kingdom and in Disney Springs.

Both locations are nearly identical so regardless of which one you choose you will get a similar experience. We dined at the one outside the main entrance of Animal Kingdom which compliments that theme park nicely with the animal focused theme inside the restaurant.

Rainforest Café Dining Review

Our experience at the Rainforest Café was mostly positive as we enjoyed the food and the theme. My son especially was over the moon over eating here since he remembers when we had one in Downtown Disney in California so that was a big plus for him.

We did experience a long wait (about 45 minutes) past our reservation time to be seated so that was a bit of a hassle. We noticed plenty of others waiting too so I would be sure to account for that just in case you experience a similar issue.

If you’re a Landry’s Select Club member usually you can arrive at any Landry’s owned restaurant and receive priority seating without a reservation. It costs $25 to join and that $25 is loaded right back on your card to spend at the restaurant. The Landry’s locations in the Disney World area are the Rainforest Café, T-Rex, and Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom. I joined in case we needed to eat somewhere without a reservation but this doesn’t appear to get me ahead of the line in our wait either when we had a reservation for the Rainforest Café. Reviews of this membership are overwhelmingly positive so I still recommend going for it, especially if you have a hard time finding a restaurant for these restaurants.

You will check in at the front of the restaurant and they will text you when your table is ready.
Look up to see the moving animals!
Lots of different merchandise here, many of it is reasonably priced too.
In the meantime, they have a large shop you can explore.
The inside of the restaurant is full of themed details. Every so often you will hear thunder clap and the light will dim.
You can upgrade to a kids souvenir cup at a reasonable cost. Adults also get to keep their cup to take him if they order a cocktail! They bring you a fresh cup that is boxed at the end of your meal.
Kids meal with mac and cheese and french fries.
Adult meal with veggie burger and fries.

Our food was fresh and tasty, no complaints here and it really since they serve low key American style food you cannot go wrong. Which makes it a great option for kids! The mac and cheese was a bit strange for the kids meal since they used penne noodles but my son still ate his meal anyways. He was more interested in the theme which was really the entire point of our experience.

Overall, we enjoyed our meal and I always love the theme of the Rainforest Café. It’s a popular option at Disney World so be sure to get your reservations in advance!.
