At the SXSW Conference today, John Favreau revealed that the new Mandalorian and Grogu story of the Millennium Falcon ride will debut on May 22, 2026 when the film The Mandalorian and Grogu comes to theaters. We also got a first look at concept art for some of the locations that will be featured in the ride!
On the ride, guests will visit several locations from the Star Wars universe, including Tatooine (see the concept art below)…
Guests will also visit Cloud City in the clouds of the planet Bespin. See the concept art below…
And guests will be able to see the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor on the ride.
The experience is described as a “fully interactive experience where guests are really in control over their own destiny.”
Disney had previously shared at D23 that a new story would be coming to this ride where guests will “fly alongside Mando and Grogu on thrilling, and dangerous, missions” according to Star Wars creative executive Dave Filoni. This new experience is made possible with Epic's Unreal Engine, which Lucasfilm used to create some of the virtual sets for the popular show The Mandalorian.
