In a big announcement last week, Disney shared the opening details for four new restaurants in Downtown Disney, including three new Mexican dining experiences that they said will be opening in the “next few weeks.”
The addition of Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita to Downtown Disney is part of a larger transformation of the district that is taking place to introduce new experiences to the area. These three experiences will be opening soon, along with Din Tai Fung, which is slated to open this summer.
The construction walls that have been surrounding the new Mexican restaurants in Downtown Disney for some time have now been removed. Though Disney had previously shared a first look at what we can expect through concept art, we were not able to lay eyes on the new additions until now.
Keep scrolling for a first look at the outside of Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita to see the progress that has been made on these restaurants as we are getting closer to their opening!

First Look at Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita in Downtown Disney
We are excited to see that the construction walls have been taken down to reveal these new additions to Downtown Disney! The sign of Paseo has been visible for a little bit over the wall, but now we can see the full exterior of the restaurant. Outside of the entrance is a sign that says “The wait is almost over.” At Paseo, guests will be able to enjoy new views of the district from the extended upper patio.
As Disney shared last week, the restaurant will feature standout items including colorful ceviches, Mama’s cochinita pibil (roasted marinated pork), lamb barbacoa, and the mejillones (mussels).
See the first look at Paseo below:
We also now have a better look at the progress for the upcoming courtyard bar and restaurant Céntrico, which will serve as a central gathering place offering upscale Mexican cuisine and tequila-based cocktails. Céntrico will serve dishes like quesabirrias, chicken enchiladas, tlayuda (a Oaxacan shareable dish reminiscent of a pizza), and Caesar salad.
This is looking like it's coming together really nicely with some great decorative touches throughout the outdoor canopy. See the progress on Céntrico below:
Here is a wider shot of Céntrico that gives a look at some of the seating options, including a cushioned area surrounding a firepit.
We can also see the exterior of Tiendita, which will be a Mexican quick-service location with a self-ordering kiosk featuring menu options like squites (roasted corn), fish tacos, ice cream- stuffed chocolate tacos, and breakfast favorites like chorizo breakfast burritos and chilaquiles (marinated tortilla chips with egg).
See the outside of Tiendita below:
We're excited to see the final product of these three new Mexican dining experiences and try the food! You can see everything you need to know about the Downtown Disney expansion in our guide and the new additions coming, including the fan-favorite Porto's Bakery.
