Disneyland Disney Vacation Club Lounge in Tomorrowland – PHOTOS, Details, DVC Lounge Review

Disneyland is now home to a Disney Vacation Club Lounge. The DVC lounge opened at Disneyland earlier this year for use by guests with Disney Vacation Club ownership. Below is a look inside the new lounge that now occupies the second floor of the Star Wars: Launch Bay building in Disneyland Park’s Tomorrowland.

The lounge, called the “Disney Vacation Club Star View Station”, is inspired by Walt Disney's vision for the future and mixes modern and retro in a space that features relics like the Space Station S-1 Model from the “Disneyland” series and the K7 Space Suit that Disneyland's Tomorrowland Astronauts wore.

The lounge opened as the Disney Vacation Club is expanding at the Disneyland Resort. The Disneyland Hotel will be home to a new twelve-story Disney Vacation Club tower. The tower name will be “The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel”. Read more about the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel.

Disney Vacation Club Disneyland Lounge Perks

Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members will find plenty of casual seating in the sleek space, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi, device-charging stations, and more. A dedicated Disney Vacation Club Member Services team will also be on-site to assist guests.

Members can also borrow charging cords to recharge their devices at one of the many outlets in the lounge. The lounge also has complimentary soda and snacks for guests. Currently, one DVC member can bring up to five guests. The Disneyland DVC Lounge opens at 11 am.

DVC Lounge Tour

When you arrive outside of the Star Wars: Launch Bay building you'll be asked if you are there for the DisneyVisa Card photo or for the Starview Station DVC Lounge. Let them know you're headed to the DVC Lounge and head up.

Next, you'll enter the old Star Wars: Launch Bay Building which is surprisingly almost completely intact still. This space is used by a number of different groups at Disney for various offerings. Next, you'll proceed to the check-in podium.

From here, you'll head up the stairs or elevator into the lounge.

Once at the next level, you'll be greeted by a desk where Disney Vacation Club member services Cast Members are there to help you and a mural of the space station.

Next you'll head into the “airlock” to move into the lounge.

Here's a look at that hallway.

Once inside the lounge, you'll be greeted by mid-century modern furnishings.

Perhaps my favorite decoration in the lounge is the K7 Space Suit that Disneyland's Tomorrowland Astronauts wore.

Another great offering are the free snacks and soda. There is a coffee machine and Coke freestyle machine where you can make selections on a number of beverages.

Check out this cute kid's area in the lounge with Disney cartoons running.

There is also a great view from the balcony over Tomorrowland towards the Matterhorn. Note that the balcony closes at 4 pm for the setup of the terrace dinner offering.

One of the entire wall's of the lounge is covered in these fun star twinkle lights.

Other locations include the Top of the World Lounge atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and the Member Lounge inside the iconic glass pyramid of the Imagination! pavilion at EPCOT, both at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Disney Vacation Club provides a number of great perks for their members that go beyond the points system to reserve lodging at Disney resorts around the world. These exclusive in park lounges are just one of the offerings. There are also special events and even a Disney Vacation Club member cruise with the Disney Cruise Line.

  1. Wow! I’d love to have my DVC home resort at Disneyland. Alas, the new Tower being built at TDH is still TOO FAR to walk for my preference. That’s why it’s GCH or nothing at all for us. Question: will they be serving adult beverages in this DVC Tomorrowland Lounge? (that could easily sway me towards DVC membership again.)

    • Hopefully you can secure the elusive Grand Californian home resort! We will share all the details on the lounge as we have them.
